I used to believe that hiding behind my pain would make it go away. For years, I brushed off my parents' divorce with a mere: "It-doesn't-really-bother-me" reaction, as I rationalized my abandonment in justifying "they did what they had to do." But I didn't want to admit that I never felt whole or grounded because of their separation. I was greatly impacted by their divorce and didn't realize it until years later. Unfortunately, this awareness came after me repeating many of their relational mistakes. But I can talk about that now without shame.I refuse to hide Behind The Face any longer. This book is an introvert's coming-out journey. It's a proclamation of sorts, that: "I am un-silencing me!" And the beauty behind unpacking all of your baggage is that you find your true self at the core of it all, which is the most significant piece of the puzzle. It is time to face your truths, uncover wounds, and heal.
