Monstering the Divine Feminine is a graphic novel that illustrates patriarchal cultures' attempts to disempower women through mythology. From ancient Sumeria to contemporary online role playing games, our view of the divine feminine is shaped by these stories. The illustrations were created using mixed reality photography, analog photos digitally collaged with avatars and scenes from the virtual world of Second Life.
