Considered one of the most important works of historical scholarship of the 19th century, this book covers England's political, social, and cultural developments during the turbulent 17th century. With meticulous attention to detail and a sweeping narrative scope, Ranke's work remains an essential resource for historians and history enthusiasts alike. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.This work is in the "public domain in the United States of America, and possibly other nations.
