Fearful of the same thing happening to her, she would not commit to marrying any man, at least not now. But her boyfriend is tired of waiting. He breaks up with her, choosing instead to date her immoral co-worker. This sets into motion a series of unfortunate setbacks for Summer. Feeling a loss of self-worth, she sets out to reclaim her man, only to see her life further spiral out of control.A devastating near-death event forces her to reevaluate her life and her priorities. Her relationship with her long-suffering mother and her blossoming friendship with a security guard at the video production firm keep her grounded in faith. Author Louis Jones began to wonder why his attempts to be more outgoing were met with failure and frustration. It was at this time that he discovered in prayer that God did not make him to be that way. God made him to be quiet, contemplative, and oriented to time alone. This revelation resulted in the book Wallflowers in the Kingdom. The book details his experiences as an introvert, and draws upon those experiences to make the case that introverts are created that way by God and are important in the functioning of the Kingdom of God. The book examines Scriptures that support the lifestyle of the introvert, and calls upon extroverts and introverts to better understand each other to foster harmony in the church. Wallflowers in the Kingdom is yet another resounding voice in a Godly chorus designed to bring more light and vindication to the lifestyle of the introvert in the modern-day church. This guide is for the faithful Christian pressured by today's churches to be outgoing and sociable, but is not yet ready to be the "life of the party."
