Redn is do von unnötn! Der Dusterer ist über ein Feldpater! Alles kurz und eindringlich und hizt: glaub's oder glaub's nit! A Teuxelskerl sag ich dir, mit sein gottgfälligen Wesen. Dran glauben muß man. Dös hat er heraust, ja, ja, dös hat er heraust! Zwegn, daß er sein Vorteil sucht, selb is richtig, aber dös tut nix, mag's selber gern sehn, wann einer was treibt, er treibt's recht, aber ehrlich muß's dabei zugehn! Wann ich ihm dahinter kam, daß dös kein Schickung is, dö ihn in mein Haus führt, daß net so sein müßt, wie er sagt, daß er auf 'n Herrgottn sein Rechnung lugt¿ Kreuzsakra, Wastl, da kriegest a Arbeit.Wastl. Jesses, Bauer, schaff an, schaff nur glei an!Grillhofer (läßt den Kopf hängen). Laß gut sein, Wastl, laß's gut sein. 's kimmt nöt a so.¿Er hat mich schon bei der richtigen Faltn. Er hat mich an oans erinnert, hon's schon lang vergessen ghabt¿hizt aber hat sa sich aufgriegelt, hizt sitzt's da und gibt kein Ruh mehr, der Gwissenswurm is's¿ und da hilft kein Aufdammen. Schön, schön unterdrucken heißt's und reuig sein.
