When the young state of Czechoslovakia is betrayed by Britain and France in 1938, two newlyweds, Tomas and Anna Kovarik, flee to France to escape Nazi tyranny. Believing themselves safe in France the young couple build a new life. But Hitler cannot be stopped and soon France too is in danger.Tomas struggles to keep his Jewish wife and their young child safe.
