This boy is gonna be the death of her. Like, seriously. For real, they already live together, but now he wants to go to her school too...?! Ranko's juuuust a tad worried that he's obsessing a bit too much-after all, liking someone because they're nice is one thing, liking someone because they're them is a whole 'nother story. Still, she finds him slightly endearing, so despite the monster lurking behind his eyes, she just can't leave him be...
You're like...the monster that came in the spring.Just her pet pig and her mom. Those are the only two beings Ranko needs or wants in her life-not all the irritating people at school, not her new stepdad, and certainly not that scary guy from the alley. Still, life is like a box of chocolates...so of course Scary Guy has to show up at her house, along with her new stepdad, as her adopted stepbrother. It's the end of the world as she knows it! However, with her pig's life and her mom's happiness at stake, she's determined to figure out how to survive the monster lurking in his eyes...
With Yuki living on her own, Naruse in his last year of high school, and more than a few months of dating history under their belt, one rainy after in Yuki's apartment leads to...!? Meanwhile Hakamada's come to a few realizations and makes a declaration to Yuki that leaves her in a state of utter confusion!!
"Tamaki's and Rou's shared rooming situation has been going swimmingly. They're finally starting to get pretty cozy...until the day Tamaki gets a call that her grandmother has collapsed. Driven to visit her only remaining living relative, she returns to Kanaogi Village to check on her. Soon after she arrives, though, a shocking truth is revealed...!"--
"What does he MEAN "that wasn't nearly enough"?! Well, it is true that between my part-time job and classes and getting dragged into stuff with the college basketball club, it's been a lot harder to find time to just BE together, but...I'm really trying, okay?! Speaking of the basketball club, turns out that weird flirty guy at the park is also my coworker and a club member--seriously hope he and Naruse never meet because it'd be AWK-WAAARD..."--Back cover.
All Tama wanted was a place to belong. To find someone who really cared about her. And even though it maybe came about in a weird way, she thinks maybe, just maybe, Rou can be that person for her. As she spends more and more time with him, she only falls even harder for him...
Today is the day her future will be decided. After all, it¿s finally time...for entrance exams. However, one thing after another keeps going wrong! Meanwhile, as Yuki¿s graduation gets closer and closer to becoming a reality, Naruse is painfully aware that soon, he¿ll be separated from Yuki by more than just a couple of classroom doors...
Urrrrgh! Hakamada-kun crushed our dream of winning the Winter Cup, so my tenure as the basketball team¿s manager is over¿But that just means it¿s time for the next phase of my life¿exam season. And now, because Naruse¿s been busy with his new captaincy and I¿ve been swamped with studying, I hardly ever see him anymore. I kind of mi¿No, get a grip! Well, I guess if that cheeky brat insists, then maybe, just maaaybe, we can go on our first official date¿
When life gives you lemons and then you wake up in a hot guy¿s house¿Tamaki Mishina was getting out. Escaping from the tiny village where everyone loathed her for things beyond her control, especially since her dad¿her last tie to the town¿had recently passed away. That¿s why she applied to a high school in Tokyo in the first place. But then she got sent packing from her boardinghouse, woke up in Mr. Playboy Punk Rocker¿s apartment, and just kinda stayed there because she didn¿t have anywhere else to go. Too bad Rou keeps trying to kick her out because he¿s pretty sure she doesn¿t understand what it really means to live with a guy¿Tamaki Mishina was getting out. Huh?! What does he even mean?! Stupid brat!! First he doesn't push that girl away--after she kissed him--and now he's saying THAT While eating squid? I mean, I know I'm the one who's been avoiding talking to him head-on, and I did tell him to wait three months, but I was getting there, okay? Ugh, and as if that wasn't enough to deal with, what was going on with Hakamada-kun at the festival...?
"We already made it through two days without any Naruse-related incidents (or at least any public ones), so if he could just hang on for one more day ! But of course that rug rat is starting to get all antsy--being super-touchyfeely, saying whatever he wants... Doesn't he realize that being around the team will become ultra-awkward if we start dating? I do have to admit, though, I might kind of sort of be thinking about it--after I leave the team, obviously..."--
Is it bad for me to tell people we’re datingdating? Huh?! Who’s dating whom now? I said I’d think about it. And how exactly does he go from “I’ll come watch your games” to “I’ll be your girlfriend”? Stupid jerk even told the entire basketball team that he’s going out with a third-year. Between those rumors and running into Hakamada-kun—and therefore having to deal with pouty Naruse— everything’s driving me up the wall! Why am I even considering this whole thing...?
