The world is facing the crisis of oil and the price of is oil is hiking day by day. Even though the fossil oil is used in vehicles, it emits the most pollutant chemicals like Sulphur dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrous oxide etc. which is hazardous to human health and environment. But today, even though many alternatives form of vehicle has been arrived in the market but the ratio of IC engine vehicle to the eco-friendly vehicle is still high. Considering the badconsequences of IC engine vehicle and hike in gasoline products, many automobile companies have been progressively working on the design, development and production of alternative ecofriendly electric vehicles. Converting cars also helps in the transition to a more circular economy; instead of relying on the consumption of finite resources to produce new products, the lifespan of existing products is extended as much as possible. Products are shared, repaired, reused, remanufactured, and lastly recycled. This project represents an example of the remanufacturing step of a circular economy. Instead of disposing of outdated cars with internal combustion engines and then producing new electrically powered vehicles, this project makes use of the existing car fleet and extends its lifetime. The purpose of this book is to research the possibilities and challenges regarding the electric conversion of used cars for personal day-to-day use.

There are about a billion cars on the world's roads, 99% of which are driven by internal combustion engines (ICE). But for useful operation, internal combustion engines use only a third of the energy of the burned fuel. The rest is lost in the heat and friction of the mechanisms and in the resistance to the movement of the car. This book aims to generalize the experience of manufacturers and enterprises servicing hybrid vehicles. The introduction provides an overview of the existing hybrid car market, discusses in detail the general structure and technical characteristics of hybrid cars, the features and operation of the internal combustion engine together with an inverter and a high-voltage battery, and shows a special design of the transmission and braking system. Labor protection measures during maintenance and repair are indicated. In working on the manuscript, the author used open printed materials from manufacturers, dealers and service stations, as well as the results of their own design work and research on the operation of hybrid cars. The advantages of hybrid cars indicated by manufacturers are controversial, often not objective. This reduces their popularity and prevents them from attracting mass consumers.
