We exist in two realms: the physical world governed by matter, forces, and motion, and the mental realm shaped by ideas, impressions, and emotions. The purpose of this book, comprising eleven chapters, is to delve into the intricacies of the mental realm. While it is often considered supernatural, rational justifications and scientific investigations demonstrate that it is an integral part of our physical world. By comprehending the mind through a rational understanding of brain processes and functionalities, we gain the ability to address profound existential questions: What is life, and what transpires when we pass away? What is the connection between our existence and the vastness of the whole existence? We start to see the connection between everything when we see the intangible side of the visible world, that is, the processes into the physical appearances of objects. We see the processes in each thing interacting and communicating with other processes in everything, and everything starts revealing its secret. Everything in the universe can be seen as a result of processes and interactions. This ranges from the processes happening within the human brain that give rise to thoughts and consciousness, to the complex interactions within ecosystems that define how life flourishes and adapts. By understanding these interconnected processes, we can unlock a deeper understanding of the infinite complexities present in the universe.
We are living in two worlds: the physical world of matter, forces, and motions and the mental world of ideas, impressions, and emotions. The aim of this books ten essays is to explore the world of the mind. It is a world claimed to be supernatural, but rational justifications, supported by scientific investigations, demonstrate that it is of our natural world. Once the mind is rationally explained in terms of the brains functionalities, then it becomes possible to answer far-reaching existential questions: Why do I exist? What is life? What happens when I die? Be warned: this book isnt an easy read. Each essay is a step upward into the unfamiliar and unconventional, requiring effort, patience, and above all a mind that tolerates the extraordinary.
