The book of Chronicles has received a revival in recent scholarship, making it one of the most studied books, and this is especially true from 1 Chronicles 10 onwards-ignoring the genealogies of 1 Chronicles 1-9. Yet, when the Chronicler incorporated these lists into his book, he designed them with a deliberate and sophisticated literary design according to his purposes.
