Sneaky the Hairy Mountain Monster Goes to the Bahamas is a story about the First Ever Monster Convention, which was being held on the island of Nassau in the Bahamas. Monsters of every type and description were coming to attend the convention. Sneaky the Hairy Mountain Monster from Wheeling, West Virginia, did not want to miss the First Ever Monster Convention. He didn't even know what a convention was, but he knew he didn't want to miss it. He was excited because he had never flown on an airplane, and he had never been to the Bahamas. Where is the Bahamas, anyway? he thought. Blake James's grandfather was going to be the keynote speaker at the convention. He was giving a speech and hearing suggestions from monsters on "e;how to get along with others in your community."e; Blake asked his grandfather if he could go with him, and Grandfather said, "e;Yes, on one condition...you have to clap after I give my speech."e; Blake laughed, and Grandfather gave him a high-five.

The Blue Sea Monster is an ugly, scary monster who roamed the beaches of Palm Beach, capturing little children at dusk. Blake's grandfather suspected the children were taken to a deserted island in the Bahamas, and he was determined to find those children who had been kidnapped. Blake James went with his grandfather to get the chopper at the airport. Flying over many deserted islands, Grandfather said, "Maybe we will see something from up here." Then there it was, Blake spotted something shiny…something sparkling…as they flew over one of the uninhabited islands. Grandfather swirled the chopper around to take a closer look. Then he saw it too. He was surprised at what caught Blake's eye.

Sneaky is a three-eyed hairy monster who lives and growls at night in the thick woods where Blake James's grandparents live. Blake heard his grandfather say he was going to hunt the monster. Blake asked his grandfather if he could go with him. Reluctantly, his grandfather said he could go. One night, the roars were very loud so Blake and his grandfather set off for the woods. It was getting dark, and the trees were looking scarier and scarier. Blake held his grandfather's hand and was excited . . . but scared too. Upon reaching the cave where the monster was living, Blake and his grandfather went in. Blake's grandfather was surprised at the sight of the monster and what he saw in the cave.
