Eppure, dovrebbe segnare questo ingresso nella misura in cui si trova a un bivio. Non c'è bisogno di essere uno studioso per capire che l'istruzione scolastica, se ancora esiste nella RD Congo, è in pessime condizioni. L'istruzione scolastica nella RD Congo, di cui tutta la società parla tanto, risale al periodo coloniale. At a time when the whole world is celebrating the triumphant entry into the 21st century with new strategies for school education, the DR Congo is still marking time. And yet, it should be marking this entry insofar as it is at a crossroads. One does not need to be a scholar to see that school education, if it still exists in the DR Congo, is in very bad shape. School education in the DR Congo, about which the whole of society speaks so much, dates from the colonial period. Its history is not really happy insofar as it has gone through several stages that have hardly tried to move in the same direction.

Während die ganze Welt den triumphalen Eintritt in das 21. Jahrhundert mit neuen Strategien für die Schulbildung feiert, tritt die DR Kongo weiterhin auf der Stelle. Dabei sollte sie diesen Einstieg eigentlich markieren, da sie sich an einem Scheideweg befindet. Man muss kein Wissenschaftler sein, um festzustellen, dass es um die schulische Bildung, sofern sie in der DR Kongo überhaupt noch existiert, sehr schlecht bestellt ist. Die Schulbildung in der DR Kongo, von der die gesamte Gesellschaft so viel spricht, stammt aus der Kolonialzeit. Ihre Geschichte ist insofern nicht gerade glücklich, als sie mehrere Etappen durchlaufen hat, die praktisch nicht in die gleiche Richtung zielten.
