A new volume in the English Episcopal Acta series, editing the surviving records of the bishops of Rochester 1235-1318 with appendices including full itineraries of the bishops and a full contextual introduction. The volume allows us to access the work of the bishops lives of ordinary individuals in one part of medieval England.

The second of two Chichester volumes presenting Latin Acta, numbered 189 to 344, produced in the diocese during the second half of the 13th century. Bishops John Climping, Stephen Bersted and Gilbert of St Leofard are represented.
