Dr. Hooks understands that we all want someone to love and for that person to love us in return. However, we cannot give in to the desires of our flesh; we must be led by the Holy Spirit because the flesh will profit us nothing. If you allow the flesh to lead you, you will find yourself back into abusive, nonproductive, relationships. Dr. Hooks states, "This is very important because when we marry out of God's will, we form ungodly soul ties and this will most likely cause us to become victims of domestic violence."
