The Ṛgvedādibhāṣya Bhūmikā composed by Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati (1824-1883) as an introduction to his commentary on the Vedas works as a lighthouse for the study of the Vedas. If one tries to enter the domain of the Vedas without going through this great work, he can never understand the importance and real import of the Vedas. This work is the foundation of the Vedas which clarifies many misconceptions, misgivings and several other issues connected with the study of the Vedas. A reader or a scholar who has devoted his valuable time to studying these books will find himself rewarded while pursuing the study of the Vedas. The current English Translation is the first-ever attempt to present Maharshi Dayanand's view of the Vedas and his Veda Bhāṣya from a proper perspective. This work is recommended for all those who study the Vedas or those who want to initiate Vedic studies.
Śrimad Bhagavad Gītā widely read but least understood the text. The present translation of Bhagavad Gītā is quite different from others in many aspects. The present translation depicts the Vedic scientific aspect of Śrimad Bhagavad Gītā keeping its spiritual, ethical and philosophical aspects intact without giving any religious colouring which is not at all intended by its narrator, author or script writer. It has been attempted that the basic tenets of Śrimad Bhagavad Gītā are presented in the most modern suitable terms for learned and laity. Philosophical concepts like the concept of life, death, rebirth etc. have been elaborated scientifically for the benefit of our readers. Hope the learned readers will find this compendium of Vedic philosophy and science most exciting and useful to determine the future course of their life to reach their cherished goal on the material or spiritual plane.
The present edition of Yogadarśana of Patañjali is the first ever work that includes Sanskrit Text of Patanjali, Vyāsa Bhāṣya, Bhoja Vṛtti, Roman Transliteration, and Scientific translation in English language according to Vyāsa Bhāṣya and Bhoja Vṛtti. In this work, it can be observed that in a brilliant, concise, and descriptive way, Patañjali used words to express one of the legacies of Yoga. After millennia, his singular work is still reverberating majestically. The term engineering can be understood as a set of technical and scientific knowledge that aims at its application and implementation so that a certain function or objective can be realized. Patañjali's work is a "Science of Psycho-engineering", because it is a methodology that leads to human liberation. Another fundamental factor of his work is perpetuity; only the Truth has this power of survival over time and space, as it sustains itself. The genius of Patañjali and his commentators lies in profoundly experienced wisdom, that is, not only words from intellectuality, but also by the real verification of the proposed path
There are many types of yajñas. Śrauta yajña, Gṛhya yajña, Pañchamahāyañja, etc. etc. Here the term Śrauta yajña is of great interest for us. The concept of Śrauta yajña can be understood only in the context of Vedas and allied literature. The Vedas are the science of creation that takes place at three parallel levels, i.e. metaphysical, astrophysical and physical levels in the universe. The Śrauta yajña denotes nothing but the process of this creation. Nothing can be noblest and most excellent work than this act of creation. In the present book, a scientific explanation has been given to the fire-altars and Śrauta-yajñas like Agnisomīya Paśuyāga, Somayāga, Puruṣamedha, Aśvamedha, Gomedha, Avimedha, and Ajāmedha.
