The small resort town of Seaside, Oregon has become the flash point for an international problem. This is a sci-fi, action, human drama, set in the future. It is centered on an alien invasion by sentient insect-like entities bent on using the world''s population for food. It follows a group of people that eventually wind up as the last stand for humanity. It includes a complicated relationship between a special old man and an alien Gyne. There are several human relationships the intertwine through the story. It includes descriptions of combat, love, defeat and hope. The story is told from the perspective of an archaeologist four hundred years after the war. There is an underlying supernatural theme.
