You have the right to a safe workplace and this book can help you feel more secure if you work in an office environment, at a customer-contact counter, in a hospital, a library, a classroom, or out in the field. No matter how or where you do your job, for a public-sector agency or a private-sector company, your organization has a duty to keep you safe. You need to know how, when, and where to report problems to your bosses. In these pages, you'll find solutions to match the risks, hazards, or challenging people you face in your workplace. It covers many safety and security topics from active shooters and workplace violence prevention, to pandemics, weather emergencies, facility security, first aid, fires, domestic violence, parking lot safety, and terrorism awareness. Paul wrote, "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead..."My granddaughter is just now taking her first steps. She started out rolling to get where she wanted to go. Then she learned to crawl. Now she is beginning to walk. Soon she will be running to get what she wants. That is how we learn. We gradually move on from what we know into the unknown. Once we know that we move on again. This book is a description of my spiritual journey from being a young Catholic boy from Chicago through the teachings in the books of Carlos Castaneda as he described his apprenticeship to a sorcerer, seer and man of knowledge named Don Juan Matus. From there I attended a church which was better described as a school of Christian Mysticism and the study of the Kabbalah. In each case the requirements were Impeccability or perfection. Not only that but perfection even as god is perfect. But what I have come to understand is a case similar to that of the children of Israel. As Paul said, "For they being ignorant of God's righteousness and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God." God's righteousness was imputed to all mankind at the Cross. That is the Gospel, the good news, of Grace and Peace.I have found that, like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, Going home is just a matter of waking up. We were there all along.
This book is a result of an effort made by us towards making a contribution to the preservation and repair of original classic literature. In an attempt to preserve, improve and recreate the original content, we have worked towards:1. Type-setting & Reformatting: The complete work has been re-designed via professional layout, formatting and type-setting tools to re-create the same edition with rich typography, graphics, high quality images, and table elements, giving our readers the feel of holding a 'fresh and newly' reprinted and/or revised edition, as opposed to other scanned & printed (Optical Character Recognition - OCR) reproductions.2. Correction of imperfections: As the work was re-created from the scratch, therefore, it was vetted to rectify certain conventional norms with regard to typographical mistakes, hyphenations, punctuations, blurred images, missing content/pages, and/or other related subject matters, upon our consideration. Every attempt was made to rectify the imperfections related to omitted constructs in the original edition via other references. However, a few of such imperfections which could not be rectified due to intentional\unintentional omission of content in the original edition, were inherited and preserved from the original work to maintain the authenticity and construct, relevant to the work.We believe that this work holds historical, cultural and/or intellectual importance in the literary works community, therefore despite the oddities, we accounted the work for print as a part of our continuing effort towards preservation of literary work and our contribution towards the development of the society as a whole, driven by our beliefs. We are grateful to our readers for putting their faith in us and accepting our imperfections with regard to preservation of the historical content. HAPPY READING!
ChoiceIn one of the few professional books to consider psychotherapy with college students as a particular specialty, Robert May invited senior, experienced college psychotherapists to examine the unique and typical characteristics of therapy with young adults in college.
