When that closed, I worked many jobs. I spent many years in the armed forces a er that I drove trucks. I spent some time working on ancient monuments. In all that time I carried a notebook, writing down my experiences and describing people and places. I would say I was a natural storyteller. I never thought my writing was good enough to get published so when I retired I thought, what the hell go for it.
