Of all the vital things that Christians, or Disciples of Jesus Christ, need to understand, it is blatantly obvious that Spiritual Authority needs to be fundamentally important. Understanding the hierarchy of authority and where in that particular pecking order we all stand really needs to be a fundamental part of our belief system, but oftentimes it is a neglected subject. It is also an abused subject with many believers being regularly taken advantage of. If we do not really understand what we have and what we're allowed to do, it's no surprise to discover that many Christians end up being mostly passive in their daily life.WHO I AM is a book that tries to outline, through the lens of scripture, exactly what kinds of authority we have as reborn people and what we don't have. The kinds of things we should regularly be doing and the kinds of things to look out for. There is certainly plenty of information and inspiration here for people from all walks of life. From young to old and from new converts to seasoned believers, we all need to understand what we have and who we are and then become empowered to live more meaningful and fruitful lives as part of the Bride of Christ.
With so many notable people gathered in Betws-y-Coed on sabbaticals and other holidays, The Bishop of Bangor and the local parish Vicar decide that a weekend celebration is in order. The Archbishop of Canterbury will be one of the notable guests, along with the two church leaders who were raised from the dead. Emily Florence Devereaux and her family continue to be a central part of all the interesting events that are developing and they are all continuing the process of growing closer and rebuilding damaged relationships. The medical research non-profit that Harper Cleary is building is making great progress, but they run into resistance that could stop their efforts before they really get going. The spiritual attacks against Emily and her friends and family are still increasing, but the Bride of Christ's shift from defensive to offensive posture is becoming very apparent in the events that are unfolding and the ensuing spiritual warfare is becoming increasingly open and overt.EXPAND is a story that illustrates the current expansion of the Kingdom of God and the expansion of the ekklesia church. It details the discovery and maturation of our gifts and our callings and is a clear example of what it looks like to establish and maintain committed connections of love with each other and the world around us.
Are you creative? Many people would either be too insecure to say yes or quite sure that they weren't creative at all. Would you like to be more creative? People often wish they were more creative, but this topic is often viewed as being almost mystical and consistent creativity seems out of reach for many people. In this book, Russell discusses how living in the enlightenment of creativity isn't mysterious or difficult and is actually quite normal. By leaning on the wisdom of scripture and traveling back to Adam and Eve and our original design as human beings, Russell demonstrates how creativity can cooperate with our natural skills and abilities, our gifts and our calling as Disciples of Jesus to propel us into a creative lifestyle, filled with righteousness, peace and joy and earmarked with good fruit. Those attributes, always the result of abiding in The Kingdom of Heaven, are readily accessible to everyone. A supernatural life is not only within reach, it is actually designed to be simple enough for all people of all ages to enjoy. Paul makes it exceedingly clear in Romans 8 that we are designed to live in the realm of the spirit and THE DIMENSIONS OF HEAVEN will help you discover just how simple it can be to live in the enlightenment of creativity every day.
Sometimes, when simple things in life become complicated and our plans seem to go awry, it can be very easy to temporarily forget all the ways that you are blessed. Emily Florence Devereaux's delayed bid for British citizenship is only one small complication in her very complicated life. As the pressure continues to build against Emily and her friends and family, it becomes easier for everyone to temporarily lose perspective. Although the overt attacks and threats seem to continue and life even is even becoming dangerous at times, the miracles and miraculous events are also on the rise and it clearly remains a team effort for everyone to remain in faith and to stay encouraged. For some, learning how to remain connected is actually paramount to survival. Emily and company are discovering that their list of allies is steadily growing, their faith is clearly increasing and their determination to maintain close relationships has become unassailable.ASCEND is a story that clearly illustrates how people are actually designed to be closely connected and how those kinds of healthy love connections can not only support our current dreams, they can actually help to birth new dreams and expand our ability to cast larger visions for our lives and the lives of the ones we love.
This is a collection of anecdotal stories about our life of travel and faith. I've tried to describe the effort it has taken us to purposefully invest in our gifts and talents and follow the open doors, no matter what the cost. In our 38 years together we have moved 16 times, lived in four states and two countries and taken more than twenty trips to 14 different countries in Europe, Scandinavia and Mexico ranging from two weeks up to six months in length. Hopefully you'll find a little inspiration to pursue your own dreams as I describe our life, living outside the box.
Sometimes, it's quite appropriate to live a lifestyle that is mostly hidden and largely defensive, but Emily Florence Devereaux and her family have discovered that it has now become a season to advance and take more initiative in the spiritual conflicts they've all been involved in. It has also become apparent that the spiritual assault that was previously spoken about has already begun. Emily rapidly discovers that her old style of working independently will no longer suffice. The strength of the attacks she is facing require teamwork and cooperation and this is drawing Emily and her family closer together in ways she never expected. Along with the increase in trouble, there is also an increase in events that can only be described as miracles and some of them are astonishing. As the miracles unfold, the line between the believers and the unbelievers becomes increasingly clear.Advance is a book that clearly illustrates how essential it is to remain connected in committed relationships, especially during difficult seasons. It details the kind of effort that is required to establish and maintain love and trust, especially when the atmosphere you live in is as hostile and volatile as the world Emily lives in and also, the world we all currently live in.
The global pandemic has been wreaking havoc for well over a year and isolation is one of its most destructive weapons. The dark cloud of loneliness has been pouring its bitter poison into the souls of people all over the world and there still is no end in sight.Joseph and Kristin, Michael and Sasha have been steadfast with their relationships and their home fellowship, but many of their friends have scattered for different reasons, so the comfort of so many people surrounding them is now gone. They find themselves having to regroup. The ongoing battle against the four friends and their bonds of love escalates to a whole new level when one of them faces death squarely in the face, but the steel of love is always tempered by fire and gold is always purified in the furnace. This dire trial only serves to strengthen their resolve and temper their deep love for each other.Going Further is a story about covenant friendships and trust. It's about the price that is required for receiving these kinds of blessings and the great rewards for diligently maintaining all of your relationships with faithfulness, honesty and integrity.
Can I start my own Home Church or Home Fellowship meeting? Should I start one? How can I do something like this? THE REBIRTH OF HOME CHURCH is essentially a How and a Why book. How does one start a home fellowship group and why should anyone consider it in the first place. With decades of experience in leading all kinds of small groups behind him, Russell explores these two questions from the perspective of his own experiences and also from a biblical perspective in great detail. Russell clearly demonstrates that starting and maintaining a meaningful and fulfilling home fellowship group can be accomplished by almost anyone and he also makes it clear that everyone would benefit a great deal from actively participating in a regular small fellowship group. With an ample supply of appropriate scriptures, quotes and anecdotal stories, Russell paints a clear picture of just how easy it can be to start your own Home Fellowship Group.
How did Jesus' disciples really feel about Mary Magdalene? Were they comfortable with a woman being "on the road" with them? What are the consequences of not forgiving someone? What is heaven like and what would a heavenly choir actually sound like? Does God laugh? Does Jesus have a sense of humor or tell jokes? What does Godly leadership look like?I have always been an insatiably curious person. Since my early teen years I have been asking and pondering a variety of questions and, more often than not, God will give me very interesting answers. Often these answers are like riddles or parables that not only quench my immediate thirst, but also leave me hungry for more. Life is never a destination, it's a journey. Destinations are actually pretty boring.PARABLES is a collection of a few of these revelations I've had over the last twenty years or so. They take all manner of forms; stories, poems, songs and sometimes, just more questions. I hope you will find some small joys and perhaps even some interesting revelations yourself.
What you see when you look in the mirror is most likely not what God sees when he looks at you. Most Christians will heartily agree with this statement but most people do not make any concerted efforts to correct their false perspectives. It says in Zephaniah that God "rejoices over you with singing" but people will regularly confess that "I am my own worst critic". Life will often offer us skewed, distorted or even completely false information about ourselves. Sometimes we are able to just let go of these opinions, but often we will actually believe and own them and they become part of our identity. After a while, this can be primarily what we see in the mirror. It has been said that, if your enemy can cause you to believe that you are weak and have little value, his work is already finished. In this book, we will be looking at how this indoctrination takes place and what to do about overcoming it. The Bible is very clear about who we are and what kinds of things we have been given. LOOK BEHIND THE MIRROR carefully examines God's clear statements and promises about our incredible identity in Jesus and all the wonderful promises we have at our fingertips.
