This is a rather special and full-bodied theme and set of ten variations in a serious style from the German composer Jadassohn. The rich and plummy theme suffuses through the entirety of the work providing a robustly satisfying fragrance which many works of a similar vintage may only aspire to. Long and integrated, with lingering flavours and an intoxicating finish this is a work destined to leave a lasting impression.---Es handelt sich hier um ein besonderes und gehaltvolles Thema und eine Sammlung von zehn dazugehörigen Variationen des deutschen Komponisten Jadassohn.
Reminiscent of the earliest examples of the chaconne form, this work by Jadassohn is replete with the kind of inventiveness and treatment of harmonic forces that came to characterise the works of the later 19" Century as found in Liszt and Wagner. A pioneer of harmonic theory himself, Jadassohn applied the most subtle and delicate twist to the traditional harmonic form in this piece. The rediscovery of this work is sure to delight audiences with a work of depth and virtuosity from one of the forgotten masters of the Romantic period.---An frühe Beispiele der Chaconne erinnernd, verfügt Jadassohns Arbeit über einen ähnlichen Erfindungsreichtum und eine vergleichbare Behandlung harmonischer Kräfte, die später die Werke des späteren 19.
