When Derek enters her life and shows her what real love looks like, she finally realizes she needs help to kick the addiction. Julia soon finds out that getting herself clean isn't the hardest thing she'll have to go through to take back her life.
Jack Harper, a former drug addict living on the streets of Lincoln Nebraska, is no ordinary homeless man. Self-deprecating, humble, and searching for answers, Jack spends his days in complete anonymity and is content in his solitary existence until he meets Kate and her young son, Jacky. The child is instantly smitten with Jack which endears his young mother to the bedraggled man. As their friendship grows, it becomes clear to Jack that things are not always as they seem and life works in mysterious ways. For years he had always felt as if he were lost in perdition, but the genuine kindness shown by Kate and her son makes him realize there is so much more to life than mislaid hopes and dreams.
