"The man lay down next to me, gripping me in place at the same time. I closed my eyes. I didn't see him unzip his pants, but I instinctively knew what he had done."I became a victim the night I made one of the worst decisions of my young adult life-to go out jogging alone around midnight. "SPARED," is a true story. It's a suspenseful and powerful testimony that gives glory to the amazing love of God, and one commanding phrase, "In the Name of Jesus..." spoken out of the mouth of a babe in Christ, turned my attacker into someone quite unimaginable. I hope this true story encourages your heart that God's mercy and grace is still available, and that He can save you in your darkest moments of despair.
One late afternoon, artist Adriann Alejandro knocked on the door of a woman needing to be loved. Recently divorced, childless and still clinging to hope, Sarah Nicole Martin moved to the hills of Kentucky to open an Artist retreat. This was a dream she had planned with her ex-husband who was now planning a new life with his pregnant mistress. Sarah places an ad on Craig's list for her first tenant and is stunned when her expectant female tenant Adriann, is a semi-famous tall muscle-bound modern-day Hercules. Sparks fly... Unlike Sarah, Adriann Alejandro had checked Sarah's social media footprint. It was practically nonexistent. Just what he needed to maintain his anonymity and to create in peace. What he hadn't counted on was his instant attraction to Sarah's beauty and her heart. This was a bad sign for a man who had finally come to terms with living the life of a celibate recluse for redemptive reasons known only to God. This living arrangement could go one way or the other. He'd leave before other ever happened. Unless Clyde Perkins, the town busybody and chairperson for the "Most Beautiful Small Town in America Committee," can convince Sarah to enlist Adriann to become the town's artist in resident to help them win the esteemed title. But will he agree? Tucked away in a cabin, two lives converge. Each expecting nothing yet hoping for everything. Can a six-month lease undo a lifetime of hopes deferred?
Opposites Can Attract... Malakai and Melia were as different as winter and spring. When tragedy struck, they switched seasons. Malakai didn't believe in God. Melita believed with all her heart. What could the two possibly have had in common? A love of poetry. Finely made shoes and a Quickie Marriage. Forbidden love is thrown into utter chaos when a devastating event leaves Melita blind and destroys her faith in God. Convinced by her family and friends to marry a man who just days before was a confessing atheist, she sinks into utter despair. And yet, Melita cannot deny the comfort her new husband brings lying next to him in bed each night. Malakai wasn't sure if he loved Melita the day he laid eyes on the expensive boots she resoled for him or the moment he caught a glimpse of her beauty speeding away on a scooter. All the famous author knows is that a trip home to settle his deceased grandfather's estate lands him in a marriage he did not see coming. His vow to never marry for love seems like a puff of smoke in a laughing wind when he becomes obsessed with trying to convince his once spunky young bride that her life is not yet over. Burying themselves day and night in candlelit lovemaking, navigating Melita's new normal with superficial conversations and light-hearted jokes can only last so long when issues of racism, ageism, and sexism are hidden in the hearts of two people just trying to make it day-to-day.Will Malakai's new faith be enough to give this new marriage a fighting chance? Or will Melita have to join her husband in the fight of faith if she ever hopes to live a life of honesty and purpose again? This is an emotional sweet romance filled with endearing multi-generational smalltown folks, all looking for an opportunity to get it right. 5.0 out of 5 stars You'll leave better than before you read it. Grateful for this beautiful author Sonny Hill and the amazing way God is reminding people of His unconditional love boundless grace and power through her: ) Kindle Customer5.0 out of 5 stars BeautifulReviewed in the United StatesI highly recommended this book! What a blessing to see love in it's rawest form! I just love the purity of the characters. I am a little hesitant to read stories about the characters being unequally yoked. I don't want Christian's to think they to can win someone to the lord after marrying. It could be that I married that way and it's been forty years and I'm still trusting and waiting on God! Don't get me wrong I believe in his promises! I just know that waiting on God ways is so much better. However, great job Mrs. Hill.
