This book is dedicated to my good friend, Liana Petranek. Ever since I met this beautiful Poetess, this remarkable soul, she has shown me nothing but kindness. Even in the first few days of having met on social media, she supported me and encouraged me in ways she will never comprehend much less believe what she did to change my heart. Liana instilled trust again when it was faltering more than it ever has been. The trust issues of expecting to always be hurt because I was used to it, well, she came along and was totally the opposite. Almost like God had sent me an Angel, someone that I needed in my life at the very moment she magically appeared. Divine Intervention? I believe in that. Now I know this all sounds corny. But it's the truth. She has shown me her heart and soul, kindness and respect beyond anything I had felt or known in quite some time, and again, restored my faith in Humanity, that, though rare, good people who want nothing in return for a nice word or an encouraging one, do exist. Perhaps hard to find, but they are out there. Hold on to them. Liana fondly calls me her "Warrior Queen," for she has read my poetry and knows the story of me growing up horribly abused as a child even into womanhood and present day. Liana, this book is for you, the heart and soul of me that I'm giving back. But just know that somewhere between shadows of tears and fears, there is a small smile and you are responsible for that smile that has replaced, even if temporarily, that normal frown. For you know I don't smile often. Well, you changed that, if even for a moment, or moments in every day, that's enough to say I'm forever altered by our friendship in the best way. Word Skin is for you. My soul speaks a language I KNOW you will understand. Susan Joyner-Stumpf

This book is dedicated to my good friend, Kerry L. Marzock. Kerry has been an inspiration since the first time I met her. Our closeness/sisterhood was instantaneous and mutual. Together, we have and continue to weather storms and hold each other up in the best and worst of them. I really don't know how I ever made it without Kerry. She is one of the most genuine, giving, honest people I've ever met who loves animals as much as I do and considers writing like breathing. So I dedicate this book to Kerry because of her accepting me for who I am, flaws and all, and seeing the real me on the inside, not the outside where makeup can cover scars. Kerry has seen the worst of me, heard me cry and scream and pant in silence and isolate, but she always remained there in the background as one of my greatest cheerleaders and I love her in the short time we've known one another, which feels like forever. And it will always be forever in my heart.
This book is dedicated to my good friend, Nancy Ndeke.Nancy ~ I'm constantly astounded (and reminded), with tears, how you weave words with braids of emotion and subtle wisdom. Writing with you Nancy is a Poet's dream to join with the heart of a Greater One from Beyond whom one can learn about the self they forgot, and now because of the power of the other's words, have they been found again... You FOUND me. We found one another as "old Soul-friends." Thus, I'm reacquainted with who I was meant to be.And, always WAS.

To you Kenneth Norman Cook, who was a part of me for ten years. You left August 5th, 2022 this Earth we shared and laughed about and cried over. You were my BEST FRIEND, and my WILDFIRE PUBLICATIONS partner in crime. You were my buffer against this cruel world. Now you protect me from the realms of the Afterlife. I shall see you soon enough. I promise to keep writing. The sorrow is getting better the closer I get to dying myself, knowing you and C.D. will be there to meet me at the pearly gates, either before or after my animals I haven't seen in a while knock me down. Knock all of us down. Miss you both. How lucky I was to have known you both. I dedicate this book to you Ken ~ I remember coming to you and asking, is this title ok? And you approved. Because I always sought your opinions. First book I published since your death. This is for you. In an Oblivion I can't see. Yet.

I dedicate this book to all those who've supported me over the years. There are too many to name. I also dedicate this book to all those who thought I'd never amount to anything and never supported me. I don't hold grudges. Just memories. Memories both good and bad. Memories are from those lessons we learned to help us in our Spiritual Growth. Memories are all you can take to Heaven with your Soul so just leave the rest behind, grudges and all. Leave them behind, in the Moon and Soft Water. Where it belongs. ~ Susan Joyner-Stumpf
