This book outlines a research study focused on exploring the factors that influence academic performance among engineering students. It delves into the significance of education, the broader context of academic performance, and factors such as personality traits, morningness-eveningness preference, and gender that contribute to students' learning outcomes. The study comprises six chapters, covering introductory aspects, literature review, problem statement, methodology, results discussion, and conclusion. Notably, personality traits (except agreeableness), morningness-eveningness preference, and gender were found to have notable impacts on academic performance. This work sheds light on often overlooked dynamics within education and offers insights into enhancing student learning and achievement. Moreover, the gender analysis adds a crucial dimension to the research. The finding that female students exhibited higher academic performance than their male counterparts highlights potential gender-related dynamics within the educational system. This could stimulate further discussions on fostering equal opportunities and dismantling barriers to achieve equitable educational outcomes.
