Centered around the lives of two sisters, this piece deals with two siblings who share more than love as their bond. Amidst the story lines, we get to see firsthand what family secrets really can do.
It's a known fact that most butterflies struggle getting their wings. It seems as if the pain of leaving the cocoon is often times just too much to bear. However, without this experience, the butterfly will never gain the strength to fly. So even in the midst of all of the pain and strife, the butterfly presses on anyway. But what happens to the butterflies that don't leave the cocoon? Do they just go back to being plain old caterpillars? Or due to the absence of their wings, do they become crippled for life?If truth be told, most people float through life just like this. With the pain of the past just harboring too close to home, many people stumble through life too afraid to step over their failures, to cut ties with their pain, or even to fly by their heartaches. But no matter how hard they try to avoid confronting these issues, they can never grow into the person that God has called them to be without it.As I turned this truth into reality, I begin to write this piece. This book deals with the lives of two young ladies (Taja and Nicki) who come from very different backgrounds. Just as butterflies struggle to leave the cocoon, both of these young ladies are struggling to press their way through life. They've allowed their past situations to cripple them in their growth emotionally and in their walk with God spiritually. Through an unusual twist of events, both Taja and Nicki will learn that both redemption and love are possible for those who believe. As the story unfolds, they'll finally learn how it feels to spread their wings and fly.

In this book, I have comprised many thoughts, feelings, and struggles of many people dedicated to the Christian faith. I've used moments of my life as well as moments of the lives of others to really drive the message that 'Nobody's perfect, and we all need one another.
Sometimes, things are not what they seem, and the things that we carve the most are not always what we need. This story is centered around the life of a young lady named Trish who from the looks of things has it all: a great job, an ideal marriage, nice house, and other luxuries of life.

Yeah, we dress-up for church on Sunday mornings, clap our hands all the way through the service, and still walk outside of the church doors cursing our neighbors, turning our backs on those in need, and ignoring things that really matter.
So many times, we as believers, have a tendency to fall into tradition rather than in a real meaning relationship with God. Yeah, we dress-up for church on Sunday mornings, clap our hands all the way through the service, and still walk outside of the church doors cursing our neighbors, turning our backs on those in need, and ignoring things that really matter. We've mastered church on Sundays, but what about being the church from Monday to Saturday. What if we applied the same teachings that we learn on Sunday mornings to our daily life? What if we as believers in Christ could love our neighbors as ourselves? Forgiveness would become less of a struggle and compassion would actually become sincere. What if we could bear with one another in the arms of mercy and grace? We would be able to look beyond one's fault and love one another unconditionally. My point is this, faith without works is dead. God did not save us to save ourselves. He sent us to be a light to those around. If we take our place as believers, God's grace will abound. Learning of Christ is good, but living like Christ takes real work.

This story is centered around the life of a young lady named Trish who from the looks of things has it all: a great job, an ideal marriage, nice house, and other luxuries of life. But it's not until she fights her way to the top that she actually realizes how lonely being at the top can be.As life would have it, it's through a weird twists of events that she gets the chance to see her marriage, her career, and her life for what it really is, a sham of happiness coated with a tint of perfection. In just 48 hours, she gets the opportunity to have a second chance at life, happiness, and love.
Short Story Collection The Dream Hanger covers the lives of three young females who each come from very different backgrounds, yet life has ironically brought them to the same place. As each character struggles to pick up the pieces of life, God's purpose and plan for them becomes all the more real. By trashing their plans, they begin to pick up their dreams and live again. Are you who you are because of what you are? Or are you what you are because of who you are? Is a piece that deals with the lives of two young men, each thoroughly a victim of their own society. Growing up in the city streets, they each become products of what they see. Through a few bad decisions and wrong turns, they each find the path that God has for them on a road to discovering the meaning of life, friendship, and forgiveness. Runaway Home is about the life of a young girl who has the misfortune of witnessing a terrible incident as a child. This incident spiritually scars her, and causes her to have a skewed outlook on life. As time wears on, it's through the after math of this very incident that she will find ambition, life, and love, proving yet again that everything can be used for the glory of God. Even with all of her attempts to escape her pain, God brings her back to purpose.
Sometimes, it's hard to understand others until we realize first hand what it's like to stand in his/her shoes. In this piece, I've written about a family whose lives have been torn apart by simple mistakes made along the way. By holding to the truth of Romans 8:28, each character is forced to press on in faith by trusting God to mend the things that they themselves can not change. By accepting the past and embracing the present, they finally become free and get the courage to love each other and life even with all of the flaws. Just as roses grow with weeds and thorns, we each will have issues, problems, and mistakes that will choke the joy of life from us if we are not careful.
You probably don't know me, and no, I don't know you, but the purpose of this book is to reveal to you what God can do. It says in Jeremiah 29:11 that God has a plan and purpose for our life, but in order to live that purpose out, we first have to grasp the fact that we're worth the pain, worth the struggle, and worth God's grace. If you don't believe in the value that God has on your life, then you can't live right no matter how hard you try. It hurts me to see how so many Christians in today's time have yet to realize their worth in God. If many of them knew their worth, lifestyles would change. If many of them knew their worth, church walls would be unable to contain the praise. In order to truly be effective in the Kingdom, you have to know who you are. God stands ready, waiting to receive us, but we have to be willing to receive and accept ourselves even with all of our faults. After reading this piece, I pray that you are encouraged to press on in faith with a renewed, bold confidence in God himself. I hope that you enjoy this book as much as I've enjoyed writing it. God bless!!!!
