The first in a series of fantasy art/graphic novels musician and multi-media surrealist artist, Ted Ryback, presents an AI art and music experiment. Through a series of specific keywords he creates a world that reveals a bizarre and dystopian, but not so distant future. "Mechanizoid" was first a musical project. But after an audio-visual experience, the decision to display AI's interpretations of his lush Electronic Rock soundscapes, began to take shape. This is terrain not yet explored. How artists and musicians can develop exciting and engaging new worlds. These are images, visceral and raw, but artistically we see between man and machine, how ideas are communicated and by altering keywords, are able to shape and refine the descriptions into just about anything one could envision. Sadistically beautiful, and always mesmerizing, this is an ever- evolving, surreal landscape. A generous pictorial displayed on single page, high gloss paper. Fans of H.R. Giger, Frank Frazetta and Bosch finally have a reason for collecting again.
The Third in a series of fantasy art/graphic novels by musician and multi-media surrealist artist, Ted Ryback. Goth? Steampunk? Sci-fi? Music? Composer multimedia artist, Ted Ryback, crafted Mechanizoid from the depths of isolation. The music began to inspire images. In Volume 1 and 2 his words fused with the eyes of AI, creating visions of the soundscapes HE was creating. In Volumes 3 & 4, many alternate AI's were used, resulting in multiple interpretations. These images ring true from the same keywords. As styles evolved and refined, they cultivated a very realistic and unsettling beauty, that almost makes the viewer believe such a world exists. And who knows? Maybe it does? The Mechanizoid pictorial series showcases these visual gems. Steller examples of what man and machine can create together.

The seventh book in the "Mechanizoid" series is an explosion of incredible imagery. To afficianados of pictorial Fantasy/Sci-Fi art, this does not disappoint. Multi-media surrealist artist & composer, Ted Ryback, offers up another compilation of infectious Sci-Fi gems with "Mechanizoid: Different Drummer Volume 2" another infused art experiment, which combines his masterful keywords with the eyes of AI. As a musician, Ryback was always told, he "marched to the beat of a different drummer." A phrase that sets him apart from his contemporaries, never following a blueprint used by others. In creating his art, he also chooses the path less traveled. These images are quite stunning, as well as, beautifully frightening. Being that drums are his first instrument, he wanted to assemble a barrage of 'cyborganic percussionists' that would stun the viewer with its' ecclectic "man meets machine" appearance, while appropriately merging them into the apocalyptic, Mechanizoid environmnt. Always eye opening and never blase', Ryback envisions a detailed and delapidated world, as it's perpetually consumed by technology and deterioration. Much like the music he creates, there will be one more volume to follow, becoming more refined and realistic with each volume. Fans of H.R. Giger, Salvador Dali, M.C. Escher and Frank Frazetta will finally have a reason for collecting again.
