At first it seemed like an easy job. Just go to a small town near Tombstone and rescue the kidnapped son of a wealthy man. Getting the mine owner's daughter back from the outlaw who kidnapped her turns out to be the easy part. Getting her home again, past the many other outlaws who want to collect the reward for her safe return, is a whole different matter.

When a band of outlaws takes over the bank and starts threatening local farmers while they wait to make a big score, a reclusive bounty hunter is recruited to try to help them. He's called Preacher. No one knows if that's a name or an occupation, but with his mustang named Jim and a huge Irish Wolfhound named Dog, guns are going to roar and blood is going to flow. Is just one man going to be equal to the task?

Preacher is dead? No! Can't be! Can it? This was supposed to be a simple capture. Just go up to Dudleyville and pick up a bandit who was so stupid he didn't even cover his face when he committed a robbery. Just ride up there, gather the bad guy, bring him back to Tucson, and collect the bounty. Simple, right?Funny how things seldom turn out the way we plan. That simple bounty left preacher fighting for his life - with an angel watching over him. To collect this bounty, he would earn every penny. And lose more than he would ever know.

A bounty hunter must be tough to handle the bandits he's hired to capture. But this time Preacher has been well-paid to bring back a sixteen-year-old boy. And the boy wants to go with him. So does the boy's beautiful mother. The trip back to Tucson is uneventful, but trouble rides their backtrail. Blood will be spilled, and Preacher will have to face a gunman who may be as fast as he is. Sometimes, the simplest jobs can turn out to be downright deadly!
