The author analyzes the causes and effects of the Belarusian Tent Camp protest movement in 2006. The movement is placed into the historical context of Belarusian social activism of 1990-2006. Its uniqueness is revealed by the application of Melucci's New Social Movement approach, which is complemented by Deleuzian concepts.
