Two people had waited a lifetime to meet in their sunset years for what seemed like an act of providence, instead of a chance encounter. However, it took courage to repeat a 2nd time the vow, "I take thee to be my wedded spouse." In doing so, however, they accepted that the brevity of life that was once experienced thru the loss of a prior spouse, could and would happen a 2nd time.As life would have it, once again a partner was lost thru the twinge of death. Yet, this time around, they learned how to love and gently let go. Upon the burial, however, the surviving spouse felt a warmth from relishing the good years they had together. As they lay a flower on the grave of their deceased loved one, the living spouse contemplated what could have been lost between the two of them had they not taken the step towards remarriage. Leaning in over the grave, you could hear the faint words being spoken, "I could live a lifetime off of the memory of you."

A professional in any field can trace his roots back to the formative years of hard work. It was the early time in his career when the foundation was being laid on which future success would rest upon its shoulders. It was in the early years of my career that I worked as a stenographer. When I was in school learning the skill, my instructor taught us that typing and transcription might someday be the bread and butter from which we could fall back on to earn a living. Although it took years to perfect that ability, her prophecy proved true. What started out as a talent for an entry level position, opened doors that eventually blossomed into a full-blown career; a career which led to me being a professional in my field of work.Begin now to elevate whatever your hands have found to do. Then, practice to perfect it into what some are referred to whenever you hear the phrase uttered, "I'm a Professional".

What you have learned from older family members are lessons of life. In the coming years, you will often be reminded of what they said, did or taught you as their quieted voices gently speak thru far away memories and say:"Remember what I taught you. I may not be there to touch the lives of generations to come after you, but carry my spirit to them and matter to someone else. Then, touch their lives with your own lessons to carry your spirit into the future, as well."

Words of wisdom from an experienced father to a youthful son...As his father smiles, he turns to Josiah to say, "Son, the heart is very tricky. A marriage that lasts the test of time needs to start out with a substance that is based on so much more than feelings. Just remember these words: Marriage to the right person takes on a form that is as natural as breathing. In time, you will enjoy inhaling and exhaling it as it encompasses your entire life."
