"How terrible it is to be alone, don't you think?" Upon departing from a train ferrying lost souls and perplexed wanderers, Noël Rousseau is quickly spirited away to a labyrinth of mirrors. Haunted by a wistful apothecary from an era encased in flames and smoke, Noël must finally come to terms with those who had departed all of those years ago-Especially when a crimson witch decides to make a reappearance in the peculiar, tragic play that is his afterlife. Though, even at the behest of those who claim to know him well, there is not much the young vampire could ever hope to understand or accept about himself and others. Afterall, how could he, when all he has even known is the sense of pervasive loneliness and isolation...?
Welcome to the end, dearly departed one. The year is 1888 A.D. and Noël Rousseau finds himself wandering the country with a perplexing demonic girl, Annabelle Vamir. Conflicted by the ghosts of his past, the vampire sets his sights on readjusting to a brand new world. But that is easier said than done, when there are stranger beings that haunt these lands, such as an eerily familiar grim reaper. However, there are other factors at play...mysteries that he would prefer to not unravel. From ancient ruins submerged beneath the ocean to long dead faces hidden behind unassuming doors, Noël knows of only one thing. This sense of melancholy will follow him to the grave, if only Annabelle would let him be......
"What has brought you here, child of the Crimson Witch?" Self-proclaimed exorcist Noël Rousseau emerges from black woods dyed in red-with only a magic spell from his teacher and his beloved Aunt's journal for guidance. His Aunt Delia, the 'Crimson Witch, ' wrote of a village submerged in the beliefs of the old world, where remnants of the Crusades could still be found...if one knew where to look. And according to her final entry, a page which was brittle and faded and covered with splotchy words and spilled ink, he should set his sights towards their cathedral. Or rather, what resided below. Noël does not know where or how this will all end, but of one thing, he is certain. The year is 1524 A.D., and Procession's Way will be but one stop on his long journey away from home.
Why has time stopped for no one but you? Once upon a time there lived a vampire named Noël Rousseau. While his existence was one of monotony, it was familiar. All was well, and he was content...until a curious demonic girl and her magpie stumbled across the small cabin he called home. Placed upon a crossroads, Noël must decide whether to continue on in ignorance or confront the mysteries of his past--particularly the reasons as to why he was trapped in that lonesome, isolated house for over fifty years, and the disappearance of his Aunt Delia. Unfortunately, the outside world is not as he remembers it to be.
