  • - History only exists if the stories are told and recorded
    av Lexa T Harpell
    222,-

A simple idea sent me off on a three year journey of discovery around Australia in Bugsy, my second hand campervan.Unearthing stories of a fascinating collection of people who helped carve the foundation of modern Australia with their bare hands. Stepping back into a time when our hands connected us to life itself and were the most important tools we possessed. All I knew was I wanted to hear the stories of their lives. Having no clue how, where they would lead or what they would reveal. This beautiful, brutal land forced generations of ordinary people to do extraordinary things to survive, create an existence and collectively, build a nation. The people and the land became one.Photo journaling the diverse landscapes forced me to understand our country more intimately. At times, it made me wonder why anyone would want to make an existence in parts of this unforgiving land. One day I woke, sensing it’s all compelling beauty and understood the why. Ultimately, life is all about the land.Unknowingly, I was pushed into a personal journey. I had changed - in ways I didn’t expect. Never returning to my selfish, unfulfilled city life.

The protection for the natural environment against human interference has stepped up since the early 1990's. Most people in western countries have mistakenly considered the environment as only global warming, but tend to ignore other environmental issues. Like pollution of our oceans and water systems with plastic waste, over logging, etc. The earth has turned on humans lately with massive typhoons in Asia, Hurricanes causing massive destruction in the USA, droughts around the world, massive fires that have destroyed thousands of homes, and killed hundreds of people. Also some scientist are saying we are in a major extinction event not see for 60 million years, all because of human impact on the environment.

Jesus son of God is our Game ChangerIn our Lord Jesus Christ there is always hope for all who have faith and trust in his Holy name; trusting in him because he has changed the world; our life is so brief yet he came to give us life and everlasting hope.Jesus son of God  is our game changer; he came to our world over 2000 years ago, to tell his parables, stories about how things will go; and the things our Messiah said still haunt the world today; he taught about love and faith, to believe in all he teaches, he taught us truth. We who believe hunger and thirst for this amazing man who came to save all; we “think” then say; we should think more like him, and try harder and do what he says. When we experience his love it is then that we realize he is right; he is telling us the truth, its becomes so real in our hearts, he is transforming us to be more like him in our thoughts and behaviour, we see the light; he is willing to reach out to us and save us giving us life everlasting; these words are the most important words to give to his children, done through repentance and with a sorrowful heart, Jesus Christ is our game changer; Jesus Christ is our saviour and our King; let Jesus be a game changer in your life as he was for me; feel his love, faith and mercy, believe and let him take you by the hand and lead you to life everlasting. AMEN

My encounter with Jacob, “my calling”My life changing experience started many years ago, when a messenger from God asked me to acknowledge the word of God; I was at a train station with two of my boys, now in their thirties; My messenger had a limp in his leg, he was in his seventies, olive skinned, with thin build, he carried nothing and with many people around he chose me to talk to and my boys where witnesses to his presence; He asked if we could talk about God; he said he came from the Holy Land and that God healed him from a light beaming from the heavens while in his tent; he wanted me to receive his words, to read the word from God, and what was my beliefs in God.I replied that I had the Bible but found it hard to understand the parables; but I believed; meanwhile our train arrived to take us to our destination, home”  The train was only one carriage long because my stop was the last and only a one gate exit; we got on the train including the man; and he ask if he could continue our talk about God; I felt fear, and then this overwhelming change of love come over me. We came to our last stop and we all got off, when my boys said mum where is the man, I replied he is behind me, I looked in the train, then on the small platform, outside the gate, even though he had to go past us, but he had disappeared, vanished. Years past; my life had become a mess with the death of my mother, depression, skin cancer, “I turned to someone for help “God” I never forgot my divine messenger, neither my boys; I knew my messenger was Jacob, his limp was from his fight with God, God let him live because of his strength and faith, Jacob had asked God when he asked his name for healing and blessings; Jacob called me to acknowledge God, and God has given me the gift of his words, a heavenly treasure to share with all, to change lives, to believe in God and his messengers who walk among us, to call us to do good, to make a difference to someone else, now let me take you on the journey with Gods heartfelt prayers.

  • - : from consumer zombies, to Islamism and Jihad
av Edwin Fear & Dr Geoff Mohr
    249,-

This book is sure to become one of the most influential of modern times. Its primary hypothesis is that Homo sapiens sapiens lived from the outset in tribes with tribal elders able to persuade others, and thence succeeding generations, to believe their ridiculous religious notions or to fight misguided wars.  The Agricultural Revolution paved the way for the today’s consumer zombies easily persuaded to overindulge in often unnecessary, if not harmful, products. This has been a disaster which has damaged our environment and ourselves, one result being decreases in our IQ that have been observed throughout the last century.Chapter 1 discusses the evolution of modern man and thence consumer zombies. The next 3 discuss language and learning, conditioning, memory, attitude formation & measurement, and the contact hypothesis of ethnic conflict.Following chapters discuss religion, war, art, science, industry, education, politics, business, the media, advertising, and economics, showing that in each of these we are persuaded or ‘brainwashed’ into ‘buying’ some message or product. The final chapters discuss(a) Global problems such as overpopulation, pollution, and resource depletion.(b) Islamic fundamentalism and terrorism afflicting so much of the world today.(c) The threat of biochemical warfare posed by such groups as IS.(d) World War 3, that is, decades of increasing global Islamic terrorism.(e) The reverse evolution decreasing us both physically and mentally.(f) Some solutions to these growing problems that threaten our very existence. The authorsDr Geoff Mohr did his PhD at Cambridge University where his father helped split the atom. He wrote 60 papers for 20 scientific journals and  published 20 books, including Finite Elements for Solids, Fluids, and Optimization (OUP), A Microcomputer Introduction to the Finite Element Method (Pitman & Heinemann), Heart Disease, Cancer & Aging and The History & Psychology of Human Conflict (Horizon), Curing Cancer & Heart Disease, The Variant Virus, The Doomsday Calculation, The War of the Sexes, 2045: A Remote Town Survives Global Holocaust, Elementary Thinking for the 21st Century , and The 8-Week+ Program to Reverse Cardiovascular Disease (Book Venture).Edwin Fear holds a Diploma of Business Science (DBS) from the International Arts & Sciences College. He is currently a management consultant. He has contributed to several other books, including World Religions - with G.A. Mohr, The Evolving Universe: Relativity, Redshift and Life from Space and World War 3 (Inspiring Publishers) – both with G. A. Mohr and Richard Sinclair.Reader’s comments have included: This book is sure to become one of the most influential of modern times; - your treatise – is genius;  A must read for anyone seriously concerned;  I like your writing style; and The Islam mystery to me is that the original leader was by all accounts such a violent fellow, yet the religion is supposed to spout peace and good will to all.
