With strong faith in the sanctity of human life, I believe it is one's bounden devoir to be looking after one's bones, the divine's sacred trust with greatest of responsibility and care; not make a mess of it, like the way we're making a mess of His other sacred trust, Planet Earth. Keeping my loyalties to my beliefs accompanied by my determined and salutary pursuits of the persued, I am (Dei gratia ) the living beneficiary of the acquired and the most desired status quo of the most salient features in the landscape of one's physiological order, in that 1) My waistline measures the same as it has always done; to rule in the human factor with slight variations, few and far between now and then, right up to date, including all of the adolescent years of my boyhood. (2) My weight remains the same as it has always been, give and take a pound or two, throughout my entire adult life. Here we are looking at not just a few years but a few decades, right till this very moment I am penning these lines. Welcome!! Here is a brief introduction to the book titled Hope Breaks Out With Singing. It is a book for everyone seeking to enrich his or her life by exploring God's answer to various issues of life including the value and potentials of man, God's plans and promises, as well as, His greatness as the Almighty Creator. The Holy Bible is full of true life stories about people who experienced pressures, grief, temptations, discriminations, battles, as well as joy, peace, liberation, miracles and victories. Today, despite the vast increase in knowledge, as reflected in the advances we see in almost every aspect of living, everyday life is still very much punctuated by turbulent, often seemingly hopeless, situations. More than ever, people are searching for hope as an anchor. In the Holy Bible, God also reveals Himself and His nature including His love, excellence, power, compassion, mercy, justice, holiness, faithfulness, kindness and wisdom. In Hope Breaks Out With Singing, excerpts from the Bible are presented in a personally relevant way as a tool for prayer and reflection on whom God is, as well as, His promises to man - His beloved creation. Here's what God says, "For I Know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." - Jeremiah 29 verse 11 It is the author's hope that your exploration through this book will draw you closer to God, and build in you, the hope that sings in any and every situation. It definitely promises to be a life-changing experience for anyone who wants to view the Creator as the expert in dealing with what He has created. Without a doubt, this is a book that should be kept within reach at all times.
A long time ago the ancient peoples of North West Canada looked upon the eagle as a sacred bird. One day Chato, a young brave, disgraces himself and his tribe by shooting one down with his arrow. In revenge the Master eagle sends his flock to attack the villagers who, when they find out that Chato is the culprit, want to kill him. But their chief, Eagle Eye, decides that he should be given the chance to prove he really is a brave and worthy of his place amongst the men in the village. So he is sent down the river in a canoe with only a spear and his beloved bow and arrows as weapons. During the journey he experiences many hazards and adventures. Each time he is saved by praying to the Spirits. Eventually he is rescued by the eagle people, so-called because of a spell put on them by the Master Eagle, who take him to their village. There they cast their own spell on him and he grows feathers. He still yearns for his own tribe and when he discovers the feathers on his back are undeveloped wings, he decides to make them strong so that he can fly home. He does this and begins the most thrilling adventure of all.
The Niger Delta region of Nigeria occupies a significant part of the Gulf of Guinea in West Africa and is of growing strategic interest to the global economy. The region not only produces immense oil wealth and has become the engine of Nigeria's sustainable development; it also presents a paradox, because the vast oil revenues have barely made an impact on the regions' own pervasive local poverty. Nigeria stands as the fifth-largest supplier of oil to the United States, with over 35 billion barrels of proven reserves. The shorter distances American tankers must travel to pick up crude that is both lighter and "sweeter" than the Middle-east variety has moved U.S. energy officials to stake that the Gulf of Guinea will provide a quarter of U.S. crude by 2010. This would place the region in front of Saudi Arabia as a leading oil supplier. Thus any instability in the region that threatens production drives up crude oil prices, which has a ripple effect on the global economy dominated by the US. Peace in the region is thus essential and the path to sustainable peace is through generating wealth and prosperity for its peoples. This book offers ways to harness the huge resources of the region and transform it into a modern integrated economy that will raise the level of prosperity for its peoples as well as contribute to sustainable peace. But also of equal importance for lasting prosperity, the book tackles issues of conflict management, security, human rights and governance. Africa has been described as the last great investment frontier and the Niger Delta has boundless opportunities for foreign investment.
There is no romance in heroin addiction. The relationship forged is that between a whore and a punter. You pay your money, have your cold sex in the arms of a stranger and leave. Prostitutes do not call you back. Do not make demands on your body. I was always ill. Lurking in the background was my sickness. If I hadn't shat myself that morning I was having a good day...no wiping arses with sponges, no flocks of sparrows flying out of my backside. I had lost everything twice over but never felt disgruntled. Loneliness and nightmares drove me on. It was the only option. If loneliness could be magnified a million times that was my life. Living on the underground, just to keep moving, scarcely daring to stop to urinate, always aware of the negative, sadder sides of man's nature where seldom exists, the Holy vision. And maybe when they looked at me they saw themselves, a perfectly ordinary person having to lead a life dictated by addiction and crime...the barriers between us as perishable as the dwindling cigarettes they were smoking.

It is a real story. It is the life of a Kurdish man (Saimon Hassan Ali) who suffered discrimination and unfair treatment in his life due to his ethnicity and his political beliefs. Saimon Hassan Ali has now been living in the UK for nearly two years as an asylum seeker. All his supports have been terminated by the Home Office for about a year and a half because his application for asylum was turned down. During this period of time he has not been employed. This book shows how Saddam Hussain and his regime with his oppressive apparatus persecuted and harassed his own people. Under that rule so many people were compelled to leave their home and become refugees in other countries. Also this book shows how Saimon Hassan Ali spent most of his sad life under the rule of that regime. Saimon wrote this story which took fifteen months and Mr. Oilshad, who lives in Birkenhead town, near to Liverpool, UK helped him a lot. He took the responsibility of writing it in Kurdish, arranging it and doing all the management for translation, printing and publication. Mr. Oilshad was originally from Kurdistan and has lived in the UK for about five years. Mr. Jamal and Mr. Ako both translated this book from Kurdish to English. Mr. Oilshad made all the arrangements for printing and publishing this book with the Milton Keynes Print Company which is close to London.. Mr. Oilshad worked very hard and it has made him very tired. Therefore at the end I have to thank him and all the others who helped very much. Thanks again!
This book deals with one of the major challenges facing people today: the search for a purpose in life beyond the trappings of daily routine and material wealth. The principal characters, an American woman from Washington D.C. and a Greek man from Athens, suffer devastating emotional blows which cause them existential crises and loss of purpose and direction. Separately, they travel to India seeking solace, spiritual guidance, and a renewed sense of purpose in their lives. Two parallel stories develop containing a series of surprising adventures and philosophical discoveries. Towards the end of the book the two travelers meet each other and gradually discover that they have enormous resources within themselves to deal with life's greatest critical moments. Although most of the story takes place in India, there are chapters evolving in America and Greece. The novel contains several sub-plots, interesting secondary characters, unexpected psychological situations, love scenes and lots of traveling and sightseeing through some of India's most exciting sites. It also includes many discussions on spiritual issues and on great sages, comments on the beliefs of Hindus, Buddhists, Parses, Sikhs and Jains, and a description of Theosophy and some of its protagonists. There are also discussions focusing on Indian astrology, readings based on Naandi leaves, Indian classical music and classical dances. To stimulate the reader's interest the discussions about spiritual issues and about holy men appear as dialogues, talks of Gurus to disciples, lectures, confidences during chance encounters etc. The book contains a glossary of Indian and other terms and a bibliography. The writing of this book took three years and is based on extensive traveling, researching, studying and talking to people. Many of the events, visits, discussions etc. are based on personal experiences of the author and his wife.
This is a saga of international horse racing and breeding and the families who commit themselves to its trials and achievements. The journeys of Chauncie D'Arcy Emmet, an Irish vet, specialising in race horses, and consultant to many of the leading establishments, travels round the world to advise her clients. Ireland, England, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, France and the USA are all part of the story. Families meet in the colourful field of racing silks and in the race to the winning post. There is more than one winning post; buying and selling of great stallions and the search for brood-mares, the establishment of famous lines, big business deals to secure the future against international events, the risk of uprooting and relocating valuable stock on the other side of the world, and the rescue-in passing- of Vietnamese boat people-are all part of the excitement. The internal strife common to families, their interaction with others in the racing world. Not only the people, but the horses---the Reds---and the extent to which Allan Bayford-Smythe will go to secure his dream, the reestablishment of an all but extinct famous Australian racing line, and his encounter with the White Stallions of the Camargue in the rescue of his famous "Big Red," are just some of the ingredients of a racing novel with a difference.
Loving, Laughing and Living is a collection of poetry and prose that encompasses an enormous variety of subject matter. Nick Card uses his often quirky, but always accessible style, to share a distinctly sideways view of the world. The book is split into two halves to enable the full range of material (both humorous and serious) to shine through. The humour has a large focus on the hilarity of everyday situations including social satire and media ridicule. Card also has the ability to describe carnal activity using creative innuendo that's often incongruously polite. These comedic poems are sharp and punchy often concluding with either a strong pay-off or an unexpected twist. The serious material has a strong focus on the truth, clawing through social façades. Despite the uplifting theme, difficulties, darkness and demons are also tackled with an honest sincerity. Romantic yearnings and encounters are sensitively recalled and spiritual matters are explored in an inspiring and prettily worded manner. Loving, Laughing and Living is essential reading for anyone who wants to explore all the elements of life's rich tapestry. "That Special Place Is ours to share. Your heart is the compass That leads you there."
