These are seven stories based on the folklore of Sierra Leone. The Cunning Rabbit is the Anansi in that tradition. Then the story unfolds to explain what went ill.
The book is divided into three partsThe Mind in Every Day Living, The Mind and the Dream World, and The Mind after Death. Due to the immateriality of mind or consciousness and the unknown mechanism thereof, the terms such as consciousness, mind, thought, emotion, and the like are not clearly defined, even in the twenty-first century, Choi Writes. To discover the mechanism and to define the terms clearly are my concerns in this book. He adds that one of his objectives is to prove continuity of consciousness after death. The first five consciousnesses are our sense consciousnesses, Choi explains, while the sixth consciousness, called the mano-vijnana, is generated by the sixth organ, referred to as the organ of mind or root of mind. What exactly that is, Choi continues, we do not know. However, it is crystal clear that the sixth organ is not the brain. It must be a nonphysical and immaterialistic organ that is capable of reading something. Choi goes on to explain the seventh consciousness, called manas. Unlike the first six consciousnesses, this one does not have an organ. It involves thinking, cogitation, and intellection. The first six consciousnesses perceive and discriminate their corresponding objects and trigger to think so as to give rise to the seventh consciousness, manas, which is accumulated in the eighth consciousness, alaya, as seeds of mind (cittas), Choi continues, adding that all mental activities are stored in alaya.
To say that marriage is today facing unprecedented crises is to be guilty of a chronic understatement. Soaring divorce rates have been fuelled by inadequate preparation for marriage, ignorance about its purpose, premarital sex, and counterfeit incarnations like polygamy, polyandry, and cohabitation. Additionally, economic pressures, increasing global amorality, and the determination to redefine marriage are further sounding the death knell for marriage. The good news is that there is nothing new under the sun, and this institution, which has survived every onslaught in every community across every age, will continue to do so. The purpose of this book is to heal marriages in this generation and, more significantly, equip the next generation to approach, prepare for, and conduct marriage as God intended. In this candid, practical, Bible-inspired treatise, you will discover the following:The purpose of marriage and lessons from the first marriageHow clearly defined roles determine your marriage's success and insulate you from the scourge of unmet expectationsA spiritual and practical checklist for picking the right spouse in the first placeThree critical principles of communicationLearning to fight properly by mastering conflict resolution techniquesHow not to make outlaws of your in-laws and parents"e;I can't live without you!"e;myth or fact?If sex can be good and at the same time godly; also, what is sexually permissible for a Christian coupleWhat happens when the initial attraction fades or love diesWhat to do when your spouse is attracted to or involved with an external partyThe key to raising godly offspringThe pervading theme from which the book derives its title is that men and women are different by design. Marriages totter and collapse because spouses do not realise this divine inbuilt design imperative to the success of their connubial experience. Enjoy discovering the truth this book exposes you to and the liberty it engenders in your marital walk.

Ollie is the story about a dragon who started life in 2007 and who was brought up in an English home in Enfield. Not quite the place you would expect to find a dragon, but he landed on my doorstep in a rather bedraggled state on a very bleak day. We formed a bond, which is still strong. He has had many adventures of which these are just a few. I hope you get as much pleasure from reading about Ollie as I have had in writing about him.
