Self-evaluation will become apparent, revealed at our most unsettled moments.Hidden in these poetic verses are targeted lessons and questions to bring spiritual awareness that massages our minds and inspires us to take authority over our lives. We can provide our own solutions for the state of our relationships and involvements. We can become strengthened by renewing our minds.
This book will do an analysis of the complexity of the relationship between the support plans that are in place for children looked after (CLA) and their quality of care. In the provision of care and support for all children, there are national (UK) and international (United Nations) guidelines laid down not only in achieving the five outcomes outlined in Every Child Matters document but also in achieving equality and human rights of every child enshrined in the United Convention for the Rights of the Child. This research will seek to explore to what extent these guidelines have made an impact in ensuring that the quality of care provided to CLA is in line with the provisions of these guidelines. In doing a critical analysis of the quality of care provided to CLA, the four P's will be employed as tools of analysis. That is, participation, protection, prevention, and provision as covered by the Child Rights Convention (CRC). The aim of using the four P's as tools of analysis is to show their relevance and importance in the provision of high quality of care and support to CLA.
Love and justice are meaningless in a world where power is power and villains hand out paychecks to subvert good. The only guardians toil for the coin, regardless of how clean the hands. Where power rules, looking too deep for answers might not only cost lives but your dearest too.
Devastation in the Garden of Eden is a book in which the author aims to paint a picture of what actually has been happening on Kilimanjaro Mountain area. He almost emotionally endeavors to enlighten mankind and especially people who know Mount Kilimanjaro and the area around it about how attractive the mountain and the area around has been since the time immemorial. It was such a masterpiece of God, giving the example of the Biblical Garden of Eden in which God put the first man and woman, but in spite of the perfection, beauty, and bounty of resources that were put in that garden, still mankind decided to trespass. They decided to disobey God's rules, and in the end, they got banished from the garden. The author has deliberately made this comparison with the Garden of Eden for the similarities are so closely related. In reality, that is exactly what the mountain area was like. Many people from different parts of the world have stood up and bear witness that Kilimanjaro Mountain is not only a geographical place somewhere in the continent of Africa but is a unique place and serves as a magnet to attract the humankind from various parts of the world and of various walks of life to it. Unfortunately, we will soon or later see mankind getting banished from Kilimanjaro and the area around it. Like what happened in the Garden of Eden, Kilimanjaro has faced a lot of mismanagement, and that has been in spite of the laws, regulations, and rules that, at one historical time or the other, have been put in place. Natural resources have disappeared in various ways and forms. People, ecology, and the overall ecosystem are being put to great danger. The author shows concern and calls upon the local as well as international community to come forth to address the situation. He does not attempt to point an accusing figure to any specific person or community, as almost all of us have been involved in one form or the other. He thus concludes that this should not be a war for one person, one community, or one nation, but the whole global community should join hands to reverse the ongoing situation. He ends with a remark "We must hang together, or we will all perish."

Paul Rudisha is a young Kenyan priest in waiting from Maasai. He is sent to England by his local diocese to complete his pastoral duties before being ordained in the Roman Catholic Church. But soon his journey to priesthood is tested by a stumbling block of four talented orphans and their mother, who need a father figure, and a mentor as an answer to their prayer. Will the priest in waiting forsake their love and betray their trust after reintroducing them to a world of happiness they had lost? Will he leave behind the blossoming affection towards the widow? The Bishop thinks the young priest in waiting is a perfect father for the four children, while the neighbour admires their family life. But Paul doesn't see it that way and so, he must protect his priesthood career at any cost- Even if it means completing his assignment in Kenya, so he can be far from a daring and glaring temptation. Double pulled by the love for the four children and a pursuit for his career, Paul must make a choice acceptable to God- A decision he will never regret. "Nothing happens by coincidence. There must be a supernatural force against evil that controls matter, time, space as well as our thoughts in giving shape and direction to the unfolding events as they happen on earth. Absolutely nothing other than the immortal can be responsible for such control. This justifies my thoughts for the existence of a force so strong and mighty, incomprehensible, a force far greater than our understanding and imaginations, a supernatural existence in control of all that is seemingly complex and mind blowing as par my other stories which are based on true life's events." Agaba Samuel Rujumba.
The story is about the career, from a very early age, of a mild-mannered young man who likes, and excels at, all kinds of sporting combat. The thought of using his great talents anywhere outside a sporting arena is anathema to him, but various circumstances along the way combine to reveal a darker side to his nature, which is harnessed by the forces of law and order to h help them to achieve their objects, and he is not too fussy about how he goes about it. It is interesting to see how two separate romances affect the course of hie life.
After a period in which he experiences twists and turns between the quiet life, romance, and danger, as in the earlier book, Little Arrows, John Davis opts for a life of married bliss. However, things do not turn out as planned, and he finds himself back in the fight against crime-his attitude uncompromising, his methods often as violent as those he pursues-and his belief that criminals should experience something of what they hand out before the law, often inadequate in his eyes, takes its course.
Jake's Fantastic Journey is a fantasy novel about a young boy's adventures, which start when he goes exploring another part of the garden. He comes across a gate with a strange stone head over it. Once he goes through that gate, his journey begins. On this journey, he meets many strange beings-some human, some fantastical, and many alien beings. He eventually meets up with an alien being-Lok-who is of a similar age from a far-off planet, and their journey together begins.Along the way, he loses his sister, Molly, when he visits his friend's planet.
Two sisters bearing a striking resemblance to each other could easily trade places, at least momentarily - a glance past their ebony hair and eyes the colour of a stormy green sea exposes their true identity. For although they mirror each other in form, Molly and Merry possess opposing personalities - one is a temptress motivated by vanity and opportunism, while the other is an easily intimidated and vulnerable outcast - and their association seems completely unfathomable. Molly and Merry are parted during childhood as a result of a psychological distance between them. Molly's extroversion allows her to attend the prestigious Primrose School for Young Ladies, where her popularity soars; Merry is relegated to Fotheringale, a school for backward children. Their separation continues for a lifetime, but when tragedy strikes, they are briefly united. Unless they use this opportunity to reconcile their differences, their fate will rest in the clutches of despair.
Masato is not from Draifung or even from its universe. He came here because of his mother, who had died shortly after. After a few years more, rumours of war had been going around; and now after living in this world for a long time, he has started to learn that peace needs to be created one way or another. And if it wouldn't be by someone else, he would do it.
The book is about being a hero to yourself against the world. By not solving big issues and stopping but overcoming the obstacles of life, negative energy and criticism. It highlights the bad habit and undisciplined culture that is introduced by youth, underestimation is all time high and humanity is all time low. The writer tries to disclose the prison life, how hard it is to be caged in a cell of heartless inmates. Lastly the author tries to advice on young love, "i strictly please teenagers not to invest their potential and passion where they do not benefit at all."
The book is a fictional account of the life and times of Moses ben Maimon (the Rambam, Moses Maimonides), one of the greatest Jewish theologians and philosophers who was also a distinguished physician to the Court of Saladin. Born in Cordoba, Spain, in 1135 he will be remembered for his three brilliant books, the Commentary on the Mishna, the Mishneh Torah and the Guide of the Perplexed. He also wrote ten medical treatises. Due to persecution he was forced, with his family, to travel throughout Spain before moving to Fez in Morocco, then Palestine and finally to Egypt where he was appointed as nagid to the Jewish community. He died in 1204 and is buried in Tiberias, Israel. His tombstone reads; "From Moses to Moses, there never arose a man like Moses".
The book is based on my real life story and struggles that I had to go through to get to the place that I am today. Being away from your family from a very young age, not being allowed to work, not being allowed to access higher education and travelling abroad drained me emotionally, financially and physically to the point of no-return. During all these struggles, I had one goal in mind and that was education. I wanted to study a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering. Despite all the odds, I have achieved it but this was not the end to it...
This collection of short stories is more or less a reflection of the life experiences of the people of Zimbabwe who live in Mbare (formerly Harare)-a high-density suburb where the poor people live. In their own ways, the residents of Mbare always find success and happiness in everyday life. It's a mystery that no one can understand unless you have lived there. I would like to thank my wife and three children for being patient when I am furiously writing and being grumpy whenever I had a writer's block. Thank you to all the family and friends for all the support.
Just A Salford LadThe story of my life; from the very beginning; to the present day. As a kid I grew up in the streets of Salford; it was very rough and ready. Running with the gangs; then at the age of fourteen, I became a singer in a group on the other side of Manchester, which changed my life completely and I loved every minute of it. It was a life changing move and at the same time the club scene was evolving in Manchester; the most incredibly exciting times imaginable! My life changed directions many times, mostly for the good but sometimes tragically, things do go wrong; sometimes it's your own fault; but sometimes you can be the innocent victim. Moved to Urmston at age nineteen; a beautiful suburb with great people. Moved to South Africa at age thirty four; a beautiful country. I've been lucky so far, I've had a wonderful life, full of fun and laughter, but also tragedies and injuries that I wouldn't like to go through again, but hey, that's life; and on it goes! Most of my life has been great; which I would gladly relive again with my incredible friends! The music never ends - it's a passion! Life is an incredible adventure, live it to the fullest - some people aren't that lucky! Anyway, I hope that you enjoy my story; I'll hopefully be starting a new chapter in a few months time, when I move to the Philippines!

The story is about the trip I undertook to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. Climbing Kilimanjaro was not in my bucket list of things I wanted to do before the end of my time in this world, nor was I physically ready to be part of such a great venture. My experience of this venture related very well with how I see the world around me and how we as people engage and relate with the universe. Climbing Kilimanjaro became a perfect analogy on how to interpret the life we live. It was about the survival on this earth. Our interaction with people and earthly creation is fully captured in a matter of few days on the mountain.

When we study socio-economic issues we are actually studying the way our lives are planned. This Handbook targets to re-invent the way we think and deal with challenges in our life journey by re-inventing how our mindsets can visualise complex problems. Patterns of problem structure and its activity profile are shown in relevant to discovering 'hidden opportunities' in the socio-economic issues. To re-invent the issues in our life the problem outcome is linked to both the problem scenarios and its visualised stories. Therefore, the dynamics of the socio-economic complex situations are explained based on the different 'styles of thinking' not the 'competency of problem-solving'.The case studies in the handbook show how our social life affects our economic outcomes. Also, all the examples of dealing with problems in different ways pave the way for re-inventing our lives through re-inventing the way we deal with our communities and organisations chronic problems.Dr. Buheji in this first-ever "Handbook of Socio-Economic Problem Solving" shows how we can renew our 'learning capacity' and to extract factors that influence the problem outcome to come with "High" 'multiplying effect' model solutions. The diversified problem-solving techniques help the reader to build socio-economic perspectives. The reader would be challenged to explore the mindset of managing life frustrations that would make us create proper community solutions through visualising improved situations, inspiring change and creating meaningful wealth in our life journey. The book shows the link between the learning by involvement and learning by experience that lead to life breakthroughs. It is a personal challenge; so can you take it?
