If you want to know in what way guilt means innocence, how innocence means guilt, in what way guilt and innocence are not related in any way, one to the other, or how they are one and the same thing, then you must read Innocence Betrayed. In Innocence Betrayed, Dumo Oruobu has elevated The Penguin - an ordinary bird, to the level of a Pantheon - a myth and a delight, and for that bird which is a bird only because it has feathers and wings - only those, but is not a bird in any other way that most birds are known to be, not only because it cannot, and does not fly, but also because, on the frontier of love and loving - chastity and faithfulness - marriage - certificated marriage about which it does not know, it is faithful to it's Mate or Partner from the first day of that their Partnership until it dies on it's last day on Earth in obedience to The Will of God The Almighty Architect of The entire Universe and all that are in it which obey Him except man, and, as Dumo says, woman - woman grotesquely personified and portrayed in here by Kalaiyiingibo, to their eternal shame. His Stylistic fervour in the employment and deployment of the elements of surprise, of making the obvious look mysterious and not there, his Commentaries on issues long discussed and dismissed as over with but present in the now as though they were new break away glitters of sunshine from clouds shining bright but covering the sun's shine, hits you as a very benign Gobo but makes you pulsate with a desire for more of what he is taking you through effortlessly. The train is moving on with uncanny rapidity, and you know it - you can feel it, yes, because you are on it, and enjoying the ride, the ambience of it's interior, and the wonders of the mesmerizing Scenery as it glides by, and yet you've got other fish to fry and desire desperately to get down to go frying those other fish, but you are fixated... you are numb and dumb, and cannot say stop. You lack the will power to say STOP!
I typed the word 'cookbook' on a subject line and 3.6 million suggestions were returned in 0.29 seconds, but when I asked e-Jeeves which conference planner lays on the best buffet, he tosses up his hands. A fly on the wall at an Avalon Room lunch is spellbound as a dozen tablet-bound analysts scribble furiously while the CEO makes his case via PowerPoint, and during Q&A when advisors save his skin, but one person alone critiques the heirloom tomatoes, roast spring chicken with parsnip puree and chocolate fondant with honeydew melon sorbet. Solely Manhattan can have a P.J. Moran's, but every big city needs a Belleville and that's where I enter stage left. The world is littered with review sites for every manner of food, drink and delivery mechanism imaginable. Moreover, independent and not so independent analysts have been poring over executive summaries and strategic development plans since the onset of the term business model. However, not until now has someone thought to combine them all. Meanwhile over at the Budget counter ...
We should serve God by using our gifts, talents, and other resources to add value to the lives of others to the glory of the Lord. It is very important for us to strive with all our might to offer excellent service to God in whatever capacity and do so with cheerful hearts. Everything we do in the service of God, plus how we do it, decides the level of honor and influence we will enjoy in our destinies. I believe it also determines the level of divine favors we will walk in here on earth. Serving in excellence is our highway to honor and distinction. "If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honor" (John 12:26). The main point, however, is that it is not enough just to serve God. Your service must be of a level of excellence. Nothing less will do. Service to God is commendable, but that is not enough. Your service must be honorable. In this way, your gifts and offerings must honor him. "Therefore the LORD, the God of Isreal, declares: 'I promised that your house and your father's house would minister before me forever.' But now the LORD declares: 'Far be it from me! Those who honor me I will honor, but those who despise me will be disdained'" (1 Samuel 2:30). If you cut corners in carrying out divine assignments, don't expect the best from God. Have a big heart for God. "The temple I am going to build will be great, because our God is greater than all other gods" (2 Chronicles 2:5). If you want to experience the glory of God in your life, go all out in your sacrifices. Be an extremist in your excellence service to him.
As a child, I would often wonder how a bud could one day blossom into a beautiful flower. Why me? There's no one I know who has seen this miracle. Blossoms is a collection of poems which celebrates the blossoming of a poet and exemplifies this miracle in a way that it has never been exemplified before.
The year begins with the season of Advent, when we think of the first coming of Jesus into the world and the way in which it was prepared for his coming. Then follows Christmas, the well-known and popular festival when we remember the Saviour's birth to a Jewish lady, Mary. This is followed by the Epiphany, when the Lord was first shown to the non-Jewish people, the Gentiles. Quite a significant event for those not of the Jewish faith. It is the first recorded time that the Lord was shown to non-Jewish people (Gentiles), reminding us that he came for everyone. Things move on rapidly to Lent, and the Lord's life, which leads up to his Crucifixion. Appropriately, the solemnity of Lent and Holy Week is followed by the joyful season of Easter, when we celebrate the Resurrection of Our Lord. Forty days on, and we celebrate the Ascension of Our Lord. It is not long after the Ascension that the church celebrates Pentecost (or Whitsun), when the Holy Spirit of God descended on the church and kick-started it into action-action that continues to this day! As you may know, the rest of the year, up until Advent, is taken up by the season of Trinity, with much teaching and many commemorations. I hope that you enjoy this tour through the Christian year and that it deepens and makes more relevant your practice of faith in Christ Crucified, Risen, and Ascended.
This book is about the original reason for life from the viewpoint of the author. The author could not agree with any of the reasons that have historically been given for life. He therefore made a decision to research what is written in this book as having been the original reason for life. It is the opinion of the author that everybody despite their conditioning has it within themselves to understand the original reason for life. Anybody can agree to disagree with the writings in this book. They can stay in the comfort of whatever is their own beliefs. They could also agree with the writings in this book.
A Guide for Young Minds: Capturing the Essence of Time is about encouraging young minds to identify who they are and manifest their possessions in the correct timing. The desire to live a prosperous and fulfilling life relies heavily on the manifestation of our innate talents, their maximization, and capturing the essence of time. It is essential that we accompany our desires with actions. It is not satisfactory that we desire something for which we are unwilling to make the ultimate sacrifice. Thoughts are just thoughts if they are left in our heads. Dreams are only dreams if they are without manifestation and left for dead. Desires remain desires if we lack the motivation to move us towards making them tangible. We must breathe life into our visions to give them movement. Action is required for the transformation of what appears to us as mere ideas, but in reality are missions that we are already equipped to make possible. We would have been far more evolved had we not failed to manifest that which we were entrusted with. It is therefore fundamental that we acknowledge the true purpose of our lives and our level of responsibility. Life owes us nothing. We owe life everything. We all have dreams and desires. Therefore, my question to you is, If the sky is the limit, why are you still on the ground? Get soaring. Let A Guide for Young Minds be the fuel that propels you to identify who are, manifest what you possess, and make available what the next generation is relying on to live an effective and efficient life.
This is the first in a series of books intended to entertain young children while providing a positive learning experience. The animals depicted are familiar, easily found in gardens and near the home environment. I hope that you will find the books informative and helpful in the development of literacy and numeracy skills. While introducing elements of science alongside social awareness, they provide a range of activities to engage the child's imagination and enhance comprehension skills.
Wipe Their Tears is a book chronicling the true story of the unwarranted suffering of Nigerian youths who are forced into different crimes-like militancy, prostitution, frauds-and eventually flee the country in droves by road to Europe in search of the nonexistent greener pasture there. This is the tragedy of a nation wasting so much resources through corruption and leadership incompetency while the people are impoverished in the midst of abundant natural resources.
The Father! is aimed at bringing deliverance to many who have suffered rejection and loneliness as a result of the absence of a true father figure in their lives. It explores the subject of fatherhood and introduces God as a loving and willing father waiting to fill any void of a father in the lives of whosoever desires. This book also teaches how to become a great father, mother, and leader in an age where affectionate, covenant leadership is lacking. This book is loaded with scriptural study and practical life examples to restore and build up your confidence and authority. "This book is biblically based and will provide refreshing restoration to a lot of people suffering from loneliness and rejection. Pastor Martin has written this book in his beautifully flowing, easy-to-read style. Enjoy the rich wisdom in this book and recommend it to a friend" (Rev. Kofi Nyarko, Joyhouse London).
This is a book about a promise. A promise which gives birth to hope, and opens the door into a journey of faith - until that which has been promised is finally received. It is also my story - the adventures, experiences and journey of a simple man, traced from childhood to the present. I am Marvin Stovell aka 'Geneman'. The title of this book is very special to me because they are words from an extremely powerful, life changing, prophetic dream I had on October 27th, 2006. What follows here is centered around key parts of that particular dream, as I trace its unfolding in my life over time. This may be my first book, but it is not the first time I have put words to paper. I'm also a recording artist, known in the world of Gospel Reggae as "Geneman" (pronounced - jen-uh-man). It originates from the first Book of the Bible - Genesis, and it means "A man of new beginnings in Christ Jesus". It also links to this scripture: "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new is come". (2 Corinthians 5:17) My greatest desire is that through this book many will accept Jesus Christ as Saviour, Lord and King, and through Him begin to live a life of true abundance. And when that journey comes to an end - receive a rich welcome into His Eternal Kingdom of Heaven. (2 Peter 1:11)

In an age when fake news has become the norm, historical facts are marshalled into a time line, from Abraham right through to the present time-all you ever wanted to know about Israel and its amazing struggle for survival against overwhelming odds. Biblical passages are explained and modern warfare examined. The author then goes on to see what the future holds for this tiny country and if it has any consequence for the reader. This is from the same author of Israel: The Blessing the Church Does Not Want.
Silence of the Living is one book beyond what is traditionally called a trilogy, which Dumo Oruobu has defied to enlarge and to build on. I Dare You, Ghost!, Ghost of Dr. VU, and Dying To Live are books that chronicle the episodes of a philanthropist who has transformed from chief; Professor Enemameniyaa Tubokesagbema Ibifaagha Tamunosaki in I Dare You, Ghost!; Professor Temebo Temebo in Ghost of Dr. VU; Professor Ibiso Tamunosaki in Dying to Live to Fafaagha here in Silence of the Living, where he has no title as a prefix to his name. Fafaagha is our hero here, and he has come from the long line of his forebears in the other characters in the three previous works-Professor Tamunosaki, Temebo, and Ibiso Tamunosaki-to continue to weave the ingredients of the substance of the plot of the story together. You will find in Silence of the Living drama, dialogues or conversations that burn the minds of those who engage in it, as well as discussions that are as political as they are apolitical, with the storyteller as nothing but a catalyst who is not a part of the process. While Eko Akete is mentioned as a port of entry and of departure, little or nothing is known about the country in which the story is located or the town in which the major characters of the story gyrate, living their ordinary lives. You have to rely on your knowledge of the culture and traditions of the peoples of West Africa to point to Nigeria and her Niger Delta as the unmistakable settings of the story, with the Naira as the local currency providing further evidence to that fact.
The Agony And The Glory Of Muted Silence is the last novel that I had completed the day before his second visit to my place of abode and is, therefore, dedicated to Abraham Oki for all the things that we both have been through from 1974 to present time. And it is also for the time that I have pinned to specific moments and, in particular, for the things that he said about me that I myself did not know before he spoke them nor would have not known if he did not. But he had decided instead to tow the path of the agony or the glory of muted silence with my poor gratitude to him and prayer to God for his continued favors in his life. The novel is, finally, as usual and as always, dedicated to God Almighty for making me the way that Abraham Oki says that I am. It's with my adoration, thanks, and love for him forever.

"Being a candle is not easy: in order to give light, one must first burn." - RumiEvery child in the world deserves a great childhood, right? Although Diya did have a childhood, it wasn't really the one we imagine for our children. Growing up in an Indian household, she was taught from a young age that family was everything and it did not matter if they were your cousins-they were still like your own siblings. But as Diya was growing up, she found this was not the case, and the more she ignored everything around her, the more perplexed she became about herself and who she was. We all have tough times in our lives, and life at times can be a confusing roller coaster, but it is a matter of knowing who we are from within and trusting the true voice within us all. Diya is now finding this out, and she hopes to be an inspiration for many others, just as she was inspired and encouraged to write her story and share it with others. This is based on a true story. All characters are real, but for privacy, all names have been changed.
Compelling play about a dynasty of the human race, are we all psychopaths or just figures of our intellect. Selina SraOpening set I was hooked deeply interesting and extraordinary moving depiction of survival of mankind with twists of madness, pain, manipulation and despair .Asian Times Rupert SinghA disturbing play if deep broad mediation on violence from atrocity to forgiveness, the paradoxes of representation and tears of war, sincere and otherwise with a twist. This is a rare achievement . There are many play writes where the writer speaks of war and the dark evil, and none that are written with such literacy self -consciousness. Leo Mackintosh Dead Men Tell No Tales, well outside the boundaries of established academic discourse, and the firm of the play is extraordinary in many ways. Richie Smartt not only probes the depths of the human capacity of atrocity, but also explores in an altogether original and hearty unrepeatable way the human capacity for sympathy or empathy with those whose acts have placed them beyond the pale of civilised society. Adlibris Bokhandel---------------------------------On July 1703, four men stood on the cusp of a revolution under the sun of the Americas. They planned to claim something that wasn't theirs that could potentially become history. But what happened when they started seeing things that aren't there?
Over fifty-five years of independence, African countries continue to suffer from the precolonial challenges and confusions. Notably, the African dream has been abandoned, and the pursuits of which have been kidnapped by a gang of destiny robbers hopping about as messiahs without direct appointment by the African people. These groups of opportunistic and materially possessed misguiders claiming to be leaders of Africa have defiled all odds and continue to enjoy the top cream at the expense of starving population. Yet the African people are squarely responsible for every misfortune they are suffering from. For so many years, Africans have been offered opportunities to elect leadership based on quality and the content of their brains, but a majority of them prefer to go for other qualities which are completely unjustifiable and misguided. A factor that has contributed to the mass breeding of ineffective and insensible cadre of misleaders the continent continues to suffer from. The African continent is featured as a wealthy continent with numerous natural resources. The irony remains that the resources from the bellies of Africa are not utilized for the benefit of the African people, despite benefiting many other continents outside Africa. Africans are implored in this book to wake up and reposition themselves in the rightful places before the world. The writer utilizes rare evidences within the African context to narrate the story of the unfortunate perpetual underdevelopment of the African continent, which for the rest of the time has been surviving at the mercies of generosity of other tax payers in most of her sustenance, but even so, management of the generously acquired support is lacking with several accounts of theft and looting of public resources reported every day in the continent. Life gets harder by the day and for many years, Africans have been moving away into other civilizations to seek "greener pastures" which seem not to be greener anymore. The rest of the world, just like Africa are beginning to feel the pinch of economic hardships and service provision to citizens is taken into focus. Meanwhile, the continued elopement scheme of the African masses into other continents is depriving her of her only vital resource it needs to jump start her journey to economic freedom and power. It is only through erection of effective and astute leadership that the Africa dreams will be secured and realized.

Set in the 1990's the novel explores how fate can destroy the destiny of dreams. Human tragedies are everyday occurrences and how these are dealt with depends upon factors such as religious beliefs, current responsibilities, support from family and friends and maturity. Jo and Kate are verging on adolescence when tragedy robs them of family and friends. They believe that the only way they can put the past behind them is by running away from it.
