Every child deserves to feel valued and loved. It is being our unique selves that makes us special. When I Look in the Mirror tells a story that illustrates how every person has "imperfections," but there is so much more to a person than being a socially acceptable form of beauty. There are many people we love that may not be good looking or have exceptional talents, but they are still beautiful because they are the people we love. Similarly, every child deserves to feel they can love themselves because they are their own unique and special person.
Chants of Euphoria makes us to understand that at times, you can be deeply in love with someone who does not share the same desire with you, likewise, we can be connected to someone who is highly interested in the same relationship, and that could only mean paradise. The other choice could be dwelling on hurts and hatred, you can either see the mistake as life experience, lessons learned or moments to cherish forever. The banalities of our failures or bad relationships should not stop us from taking the risk to love again, we may be surprised that when we try again, natural forces, fate and destiny could make us win. It covers an array of discussions and topics that offers suggestions on how to freely enjoy the good things of life, for example - travelling with a loved one and seeing beautiful arts/monuments, beaches, resorts, landscapes and enriching yourself with the traditions, language and cultures of other nations and races in the world, sitting in beautiful lounges, wearing nice clothes and shoes, and enjoying very fine cuisines in lovely restaurants.
North Carolina Association ofBlack High School AlumniClosing MessageWe want to thank the contributors of the histories and additional materials that we have included in this first publication. The stories provide a historical road map of the progressions achieved through our segregated black schools. These schools were really a home-away-from-home. The principals, teachers and staff cared dearly for the students and their success. As most of the students were of farming families, the spring and fall of the year were the most challenging times for these students' education. Growing up on the farm, the spring of the year was the planting season, and the fall of the year was the time to harvest. This made it nearly impossible for many of the students to keep up with their studies. However, these students were determined to succeed. They did whatever was necessary utilizing family, schoolmates, teachers and coaches to make up missing assignments to graduate successfully.
This book attempts to recall and preserve the linkage and relationships of a person to his or her parents by recalling their influence and example in specific events where positive and meaningful outcomes were realized after the fact.
Life is real. It has its bends in the road, it twists and turns, and you take it as it comes, one day at a time. You learn as you go, building on whatever was previous, and you make decisions as you go along life's course. Just as each person is different from other people, so is their life's course different. Even though there can be parallels, no one path is the same, and so it is that we all travel alone.
The shingles virus just secretly and quietly lives in the body for many years until something suddenly upsets it, usually after a person is around age fifty; it particularly gets agitated if people are in their seventies and even eighties but there are many recorded cases of people who were in their sixties and a little less so, and only in their fifties. Some get shingles when they are over ninety but fewer people are alive at that age so you would have to look at per-capita statistics (per head count) to know what the percentage index would be for that age group and as to how it would compare with other age groups. It would be somewhat high. All these age groups would not have had access to the chickenpox immunization, when they were young. It was not around when some and certain people were in school or were getting their shots, when they were very young.
The book begins chronicling the character of Christian. It starts with a look into His privileged upbringing in middle class America. It describes Christian's faith as being extremely real and visceral. Christian moves to Boston and one day prays this prayer: "God I want you to unify all Christians into one movement and I want to lead it." God answers His prayer and shows Christian a passage of scripture that said, "If you obey my commands like David did, I will be with you like I was with David, will build you a house like I built him and will give Israel to you." On this same day Christian was anointed with oil, confirming God's call. He meets a girl and through her enjoys a first member of the movement. He loses His job and began to encounter a yearning to be homeless. He was without a job and the white boy from the suburbs in Him wanted to experience a homeless stint to grow as a person. He experiences the rough and tumble part of shelter life but one day met a man named Clarence. Clarence was a gentle soul but had a secret- he had a demon that manifested in him. Christian treasured the experiences with the demons because of how they strengthened His faith. Soon Christian writes His family asking if they would put Him up for a few months in Atlanta, they agreed. In Atlanta He has a terrifying experience with who He thought was God at the time but was actually the Devil. The experience landed Him into the hands of a psych ward. He wrestles with Himself and the doctors trying to tell them how fine He was but the doctors failed to understand the different spiritual realities that were present in Christian's case; so He trudged along, enduring the 21st century psychiatric world. Christian by this time knew that He not only would have a church movement but that He would be the temporal King of Israel. He would begin as prime minister then convert the country into a monarchy like the ancient kings in Israel's past. Christian meets another girl and is told that He will have multiple wives. The book ends after describing how Christian would be the leader of a conglomerate before becoming King. The book ends all of a sudden and that's the magic of it.
