Als Architekturfotograf hält er das Gegenwärtige der Bauten fest, Jahrzehnte nach ihrer Errichtung: Nahsichtige Ausschnitte verdichten die Haltung des Architekten im Bild. Die Präzision der farbigen Großbildaufnahmen korrespondiert mit Schwanzers raffinierter Gestaltung.
