Nicolette has just accepted a marriage proposal from the love of her life, Minister Jeremy Jeffers. The sparkle of the ring, the butterflies in the stomach, the rat a tat tat of her beating heart had her whole being infused with joy. This was the happiest day of her entire life; at least, for an hour. After Jeremy left, she suddenly began worrying if she could actually be a minister's wife. Ministers' wives had to be perfect, didn't they??? And how many stories had she heard of unfaithful husbands and how female congregants would throw themselves at them? Would she ever see him, or would he always be at the church? Could she actually live in a world where all of her actions were under a microscope? Nicolette became a quivering mess as the adrenaline of excitement vanished and instead, panic gripped her heart. She needed answers. Where could she get them? Whom could she call? Then she remembered: ministers' wives from multiple area churches had a monthly all-day conference. Her understanding was that it was more of a support group for the unique issues of women married to ministers. Nicolette had to go to that meeting, but could she go before getting married? After much pondering, stressing and pacing the floor, Nicolette called host church of the women's conference and innocently inquired where and what time conference would be without revealing her name. Church secretary willingly gave her the information, assuming if she knew of the group, she must be a minister's wife from one of the other churches. Nicolette determined then and there, she would be there, but she would sit in the shadows and listen for an hour or so to determine if she could handle the position. Nicolette sneaked in and sat behind a curtain separating her from the main area where the women were gathering. She prepared to just get a general idea and then she would have answers. Nicolette had no idea that what she was about to hear would infuse her with confusion, encouragement, shock, compassion and ultimately, her own answer about her upcoming union with her darling fiancee. Join Nicolette in her covert journey through the private, untold lives of today's modern-day wives of ministers.

A survey of self-identified Christians in the U.S. by noted researcher George Barna yielded this astonishing result: fully 81% of those surveyed said that maturity in Christ is measured by how well one keeps the rules. But when did "e;keeping the rules"e; become a benchmark of those who follow Christ? And how have we traded in the Life giving power of the Lord Jesus for a set of restrictions? In his book, Walking the Galatian Road, Moving from Law to Life, Lance Thollander peels back the layers of how we got there and shows present day believers how to leave a life characterized by legalism and guilt and return to the freedom of living by Christ. Thollander gives examples to show how the incredible vitality and freedom found in Paul's letter to the Galatians has been stolen away from believers. Then he returns the readers to the simplicity of life in the Spirit. While taking a look back in time, the book takes the pressure off modern day believers to perform. If you could benefit from a book that can enhance your love relationship with your Heavenly Father, that takes a fearless look at how guilt has operated to short circuit our faith and that provides frequent invitations for the reader to stop and spend time in the presence of a liberating and loving God, "e;Walking the Galatian Road, Moving from Law to Life"e; is the book for you.

The Truth is my brethren and friends, Acts 15 and 21 are crucial documents relating to tithing because they describe the struggle of the FIRST CHURCH COUNCIL to deal with how the Law should apply to the Jews and Gentiles. Acts 15:1 And certain men which came down from Judea taught the brethren and said, Unless you are circumcised after the manner of Moses, you cannot be saved. (I've even heard of ministers that proclaim that if you don't tithe, that you cannot get in heaven. Now for sure, that is a DIFFERENT GOSPEL, my friend.) To have the galls to attempt to put the law above the redeeming blood of Christ! But listen to Acts 15:5. There rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying That it was needful to circumcise them (Gentiles) and to command them to keep the law of Moses. When you continue this chapter and 21 you will see that after Paul heard of this heresy that it was on. Paul and Barnabas reasoned with them at this council and even Peter rose up in 15:7-11. The Apostle Peter, second in leadership to James, reminded the church that he had personally witnessed the Gentiles receiving the Holy Spirit simply through faith and apart from keeping the Law. {Yet in my book, you will see and understand the craftiness of the Tithe teachers will attempt to justify their teaching by proclaiming that tithing was before the law, But what they won't tell you is that it was a common practice of the pagans in Abrams time. a full understanding of this perversion is within my book} Also as mentioned in my book is the thought that we are serving a God of the old covenant and new, and what about the Son of God Who shed His blood for us to establish a better covenant which was established upon better promises? He.8:6] As the Head of the church, what does He say to the body of His? During this CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC when people are really suffering to the point of death and separation of loved ones jobs are being lost, unemployment checks are late, children going hungry, still, the call for the tithe is intact. What kind of God are they representing? Even in the time of famine when the Lord chastened His people under the old covenant and law, He did not require the people to tithe, because they couldn't grow crops and the animals were well you get the point. I believe with all my heart saints that those that teach the heresy and perversion of this so-called NT tithing, ARE NOT THEMSELVES LIVING A LIFE BY FAITH in trusting the Lord to supply their needs. And of course, I believe in the support of those that proclaim the Gospel to those that teach and preach the Holy scriptures. Why not just ask the congregation to give according to how the Lord has prospered them by faith and from the heart as the Apostle Paul taught in 2 Co.9:7 It's all about the heart. In fact, the tithe is never mentioned by this WISE MASTER BUILDER!
