The Word of God, the Bible, has been a vital part of my life. We had family devotions, I went to Sunday school and memorized verses. In confirmation, we studied the Bible and catechism. In worship texts from the Old Testament, epistles, and gospels were read every Sunday. These continue to draw me into the Word.I was in high school when I began to read the Bible through in a year. As I would read, I would mark verses that had special meaning for me. Some chapters were so full of gems of truth that I chose several.The Torah, the first five books of the Bible are the work of Moses. He recorded the beginning of the universe. He traced the human family to the point when the Lord chose one family, Abraham's. There is the record of the escape from Egypt, the establishment of the covenant at Mount Sinai and the years of life in the wilderness. I find gems in these books that stretch my faith by explaining what it means to obey the Lord in all things.

Going for a Walk with Papa: The Playground Story is the fourth book in a series. This book is dedicated again to my two beautiful granddaughters, Addison and Ella. Every time I visit them, we always read books and go for walks together. Sometimes, we go to the playground near our house. This is a story about the relationship between an old man and a red-tailed hawk that fell from its nest and how he saved the hawk from being eaten by a six-foot-long rattlesnake and how the hawk was able to return the favor by saving the old man's life.The old man, born in the 1900s and raised on a farm in Wakulla County, Florida, was not a big fan of the red-tailed hawks. The common name of a red-tailed hawk is a chicken hawk because they are known to kill and eat small chickens, a farmer's worst nightmare.The story also shares with the reader how, over the next twenty-five years, the hawk and the old man built an everlasting bond that surprised the old man's wife and their children, a bond that could not be broken even in death.My reason for writing this book was to show the reader that we are all God's children and that each one of us has a chance to do and become anything we want to do if we work hard and long enough, and with God's help, we will achieve whatever we want to do in life.

When I was in my forties, I discovered that my grandfather had written a book called Saved and Emancipated in 1941. I first read my grandfather's book nearly sixty years after he wrote it. I was amazed to learn about the holy experiences he had witnessed in his lifetime. Unfortunately, my grandfather passed away before I was able to speak with him about the miraculous transformation he had with our heavenly Father.After God baptized him in the Holy Spirit, my grandfather's mission was to spread the message, to enlighten others with this true story, and to preach the Word of God. I have now reread this book several times, and I want to carry on my grandfather's mission by having this book published and distributed across the nation. I hope this true story of how my grandfather was saved from hell and enlightened by our Lord Jesus Christ will help inspire you as much as it has inspired me.

This book helps us to realize we are evolving. We began in the mind of God, and we will eventually become like Jesus the Christ, the only begotten Son of the living God.

I believe what you think about, you bring about, and all thoughts become things. I am an ordinary girl living an extraordinary life because of this thought process. It's quite simple, and I will go through and explain how easy it can be! As I am an aesthetician, you would think this book is about skin (although I will cover mind-body-skin connection). However, Skin Deep is about mind, body, and soul on a deeper level of what we are all about as spiritual, vibrational beings having a human experience underneath it all, under the surface!

The Bible reveals that man is the head of the household, but a complete family consists of a mother and father. Children always rely on their parents for guidance in life. Married couples must think twice before starting a family.

The books of wisdom in the Bible are filled with gems. I have personally been blessed by the wisdom of God revealed here. The Bible has been part of my life from early days. Church activity, home devotions, and personal reading and study continue to draw me into the Word of God.I was in high school when I was let to read the Bible through in a year. I continue to do this to this day. I marked special verses in each chapter.A few years ago, I committed to write a brief devotion on each of these verses. In my writing, I also included verses of hymns that are favorite and seem to speak to the subject of the devotional. The Bible contains the Word of the Lord God. Learning this wisdom leads to understanding that enables us to live a rich life of faith.
