Where are the good people? "e;There is none that doeth good, no not one"e; (Romans 3:12). We are here to bring to light the existence of God because he does exist. God's purpose for creation and the rebellion that threw everything out of alignment, thus giving birth to evil and the issues of sin. Why atonement? Because the wages of sin is death. Every being is responsible for atoning. However, responsible people believe in Christ and accept His atonement.

Have you ever found yourself wondering if there was any more to this life? Have you ever questioned God's plan for you, your purpose, or destiny? Of course you have. When I asked those questions, the answer that I was given threw me for a loop. The answer was so unexpected and out of my comfort zone that I spent many years wondering if I had heard the correct answer. Our main purpose is to worship and glorify God. God inspired me to glorify Him in this manner. Inspirations is a book that started as a simple exercise in expressing thoughts, not necessarily meant to be shared, but as a vehicle to let new emotions and new ideals flow from my heart. When I began this journey, I was both new to poetry and a brand-new Christian. I had never had the desire to write nor had any idea how far the process of writing would take me. It was several years of expression through writing, and sharing with others, before I realized I had the beginnings of a book. Even then I had no concept of the height, depth, and width of this project, or how far God could take me in such an uncomfortable and untenable position. All forms of art are born out of some manner of inspiration. This collection of poetry has had its share of unusual types of inspiration, from cartoons and movies to other authors and people in my everyday life, even situations in which I found myself that would show the glory and majesty of our Lord. The subject matter of all these poems, while most are individually inspired, can be separated into two categories, either confession or revelation. There is truth within these pages, truth about my life and I would be willing to guess, at least some truth about your life as well. My prayer is that the words within these pages would first serve to glorify God and second serve to inspire you to do something, perhaps outside of your comfort zone, so that you will rely on God's strength and knowledge. Let us remain humble, by getting out of our own way, and letting Jesus shine through us.

What I've tried to do in this story is to write a balanced account of those 20 years of living with joy, interest, and some enlightenment for others. Also while showing how, in my own way, I sorted out and resolved some of those confusing and difficult conflicts eventually. I wrote this story on and off over quite a few years, whenever the mood moved me. While writing there were a few surprises revealed to me by my Aunt about the argument that she had with my Mother. Mother thought that she was leaving me with the Grandparents too often. Charlene gave insight as to why I made a certain decision at the time. My journey from the second that I invited Jesus Christ into my heart and life, made every difference in how I lived and made those decisions (wrong or right) as I walked along life's road. So, if you gain something from reading "e;my story"e;, I'll praise the lord for your benefit and pass on the glory to Him.

The original title of this book was "e;The Tip Of The Iceberg."e; The iceberg is a visual object good for illustration and comparing spiritual truths to natural similarities. Similarities such as one can only see the tip of an iceberg. Yet 90% of its mass is below (within) the surface. Likewise, we only visually see the outer results of our inner thoughts (positive or negative), not truly knowing what motivates us from within, below our fleshly surface. Within various chapters, with specific titles such as "e;Sinful Nature 101,"e; "e;Tactics of the Sinful Nature,"e; "e;The Inner Me,"e; just to name a few, we will learn the modus operandi of this nature and its origin in its daily work in our lives.

Have you ever been just casually strolling along in life and then something yanks the world out from under your feet? Well, that is what happened when Vicki Baylis turned fifty. Oh sure, she no longer had children's diapers to change, arguments over getting their homework finished, and impossible schedules to reach. She even successfully survived their teenager years. Life should be all peaches and cream with her empty nest because their rooms are finally cleaned. And it is awesome for a few minutes-the grocery bill is cut in half, the utility bills are manageable, the laundry is under control. She is actually enjoying sitting in the recliner with nothing to do. Then she began to make plans-the fruit trees she always wanted to plant, beautiful flower beds started to pop up in the yard, and she even started remodeling the house. Life is joyful, but then old age set in. Somehow, her body begin a rapid descent into a world of aching joints, hot flashes, and a kitchen full of sticky post-it notes because she can't remember anything important anymore. The flower beds start to get weeds in them because she pulled her back out. The laundry pile has taken over the house again, and according to the post-it notes, she has another doctor's appointment coming up. Pea Patches and Butterbean Fields is a continuing look into the life of an ordinary Southern family who chooses to laugh at the misadventures of their crazy world. Hopefully you will laugh along with them too. In addition to the laughs you will find in this witty memoir you may enjoy her other books Just a Little Southern, Just a Little More Southern, Daddy's Money, and Garden Club Secrets.

As author, my intent is to provide a proper format in approaching and understanding what is one of the greatest mysteries of all time, as stated in 1 Timothy 3:16:"e;And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory"e; (1 Tim. 3:16). If the reader can understand why there is a mystery or hidden truth, the mystery itself begins to be revealed. Who is the one true God?Multitudes today are still locked in darkness without this understanding. Are their divisions in the Godhead? Why can't the doctrine of the Trinity be brought into focus and clearly understood and taught by even the most knowledgeable of biblical scholars? The clarification concerning the doctrine of the Trinity is one of the greatest of modern religious dilemmas. This appears simply because, in Scripture, there is seemingly evidence of more than one person in the Godhead. Does not this confusion of the obvious appearance of three divine entities mentioned in New Testament Scripture need some kind of explanation, especially since it contradicts Old Testament theology clearly stating that there is but one supreme deity?Through the years of teaching this subject, my experience has been that honest people who are hungering for truth have accepted this teaching as absolute truth. Very few with an open heart to truth have not been absolutely astonished at these principles as they unfolded before them. But just as astonishing is the fact that, for most of them, nowhere have they been presented with these scriptural truths before. The desired purpose of this book is to bring into focus a clear view of the deity of Christ and to give the student a launching pad for his or her own research into this most intriguing portion of scripture summarized in 1 Timothy 3:16.

We all have "e;messes"e; in our lives. Some are big ones, and some are small ones. Some we make with our choices, some are made for us by others or by sickness. This book is the result of the "e;mess"e; I created with my sin. I found my life turned upside down. I was locked up in prison without my freedom, I disgraced my family, I drove my friends away, and I had lost my job. I hit bottom, and I finally realized that I needed a savior. I cried out to God to take back control over my life. Once I did that, I needed a place to start, and God lead me straight to His word. The devotions you will find on the pages of this book are the very words God gave me, as He gave them to me. They are His messages of hope and salvation to a hurting child that He loves. He carried me through that season of my life. No matter what it is you are going through in your life, as you read the pages of this book, you will feel the overwhelming love and care Jesus has for you. Day after day, the words He shares with you will heal you and clean up those messes you made by doing it without Him. God will get so much glory as we walk together watching Him turn your messes into His messages. He did it for me, I Know He will do it for you too.

Life is a beautiful experience holding such wonder and possibilities. It's truly a gift from God. Nevertheless we all experience setbacks, ordeals, pain, heartache, sickness, and yes, even death. God did not cause these things to happen; still, He is forever there continually offering strength, love, and courage to see us through. If you allow Him, He will pick you up, hold you close, and heal your broken life. The secret is to not let the hard times defeat you or keep you from the beauty of life and unconditional love of God. Without His help and constant love, I would not have been able to endure some of the trials that were put in my path. God waits silently for us to reach out to Him. He will not force His way into our life or alter our free will. He leaves the choice up to each of us. When you allow God to guide and strengthen you, you will win. We are all blessed even in the middle of our hardships. The secret is not to let those times keep you from the love God offers and the gifts God has in store for you. I chose God and a new life. I pray you will also choose Him and your new life. I assure you it is not the end, not the end of my story or your story. Never stop looking for the rainbow in every storm. It's there, it's real. It's the power and love of God through His Holy Spirit. My hope is Inspirations of Hope will help you to see God and His unconditional love for you in every moment of your life.

"e;I became the keeper of secrets, and there were consequences. With my silence I protected my children and allowed them to forever see their father as a hero, but I had also given my husband a clean slate upon which he could rewrite his history, minus the embarrassing part. At first, silence was the glue that bound us together, then it was the weight under which we crumbled."e;***"e;Cheaters are selfish people. In fact, the most damning thing about cheating is that it reveals a lack of caring for and commitment to the whole family unit, not just one's spouse. 'I'm cheating because I care about my family so much more than my selfish desires,' said no person ever."e; ***Infidelity and the drama it creates have been around since the beginning of time. As a result, there is no shortage of advice on how to prevent it, what to do once it starts, or how to pick up the pieces once it ends . . . if it ends. Why do some marriages survive and others dissolve in the aftermath? Is there some magic ingredient present in enduring relationships? Is it possible to heal as individuals, yet fail to heal as a couple? In this deeply personal and intuitive book, one woman of faith tells her story of love, disillusionment, and resilience in a down-to-earth, upbeat, and sometimes humorous style that reflects the strength that comes from knowing God loves us, that he is in charge, and that he has the desire and ability to shape us into better people through our adversity. It will persuade you that, although we live in an age of throw-away marriages, there are still those who believe traditional values exist, that a family is a sacred commitment, that giving up is not an option.

If you survived a plane crash without a scratch, you would surely say it was a miracle. Yes, it would be quite a miracle. But what if you fell down the stairs and survived without a scratch? What would that be? Good luck? Why wouldn't that be a miracle? A small miracle? This is about seven cats. This is also about miracles. Small miracles which happened to these seven cats and how the affect of these miracles helped lead the writer back to God and the path to salvation. Do you agree with the writer that there are miracles here or just good luck and coincidences? It's for the reader to decide. While reading, enjoy the feline anecdotes.

Blessing from the Spirit reflects in whole how these poems were created. The Lord placed an ear in my heart so I could hear his word. As the holy spirit would speak the words I would write them down, and that is how these works were created. The first time the Lord spoke to me through my heart was in September 1997. This is what he said to me, "e;I will come to you in visions and I will visit you in dreams, and I will give thee wisdom in the ways of secret things,"e; and he has. Before 1997 I had never written anything before the lord came into my heart, I was performing Country music classics in bars, wedding, V.F.W. halls etc. Now, only Gospel music I sing.
