The great urgency that gave birth to this work is in fact the lack of a single accurate translation of the Greek book of Mark in the English-speaking world, though by far, plenty of new translations had been made but the same mistakes of the older ones were repeated.Based upon the Authorized by the Ecumenical Patriarchate Version of the New Testament Greek Text (1904, 1912), which is an extremely important scholarly achievement being drawn from Byzantium and one of the most authoritative forms of the Greek New Testament text, for it is based entirely upon Byzantine lectionaries' manuscripts, that been used in the Greek-speaking churches through the centuries, this accurate translation of Mark's Gospel, as presenting the most accurate English translation of the Greek Mark's Gospel, intends to provide the reader with a comprehensible reading of the earliest scripture narrative account of Jesus's life and teachings truly meaningful, unveiling what is believed to be secrets in Mark's Gospel and, simultaneously, bridging the gap between scholar and layperson.

This is the true story of a heart that has been shattered and stained. The author, Wendy Sims, talks about her story of surviving abuse. The actions led her to be tortured and traumatized throughout her life. It's about her realization of the world in which she lived and grew up in the 1970s. The woman she has become today comes from the realization that she never let what happened to her affect the life she has worked hard to gain and live, becoming the champion she was meant to be through Christ.

It is a map to help guide you out of the land of confusion.
The Last Christmas Tree is a story of putting Jesus's "golden rule" as presented in Matthew 7:12, "Therefore all things what so ever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them," into a real-life situation. Matthew, the owner of the Christmas tree lot, connects with a family in need and puts the rule into practice. He sees the needs of John and his family of four, having lost his wife recently, and he decides he can help them as he would like to be helped if the situation were reversed. In part told from the point of view of the last Christmas tree on the lot, the story progresses through the help given by Matthew with his generosity and the joy and assistance it brings to John and his family despite their recent loss. The story is intended to inspire us to treat others as we want to be treated and to help those in need when we can. Although the situation John and his family are in is sad and painful, Matthew's acts of Christian love hopefully alleviate some of the pain of mourning that the family is feeling and inspire them to go on in Christ's love.
What does Coco Chanel have in common with the wife of a noble character found in Proverbs 31? How does the lifestyle of the average French citizen line up with the guidelines for dress, manners, and dining found in Scripture? As Christians, should we eschew the pleasures of life, maintain a dour expression, and stamp out all color and fun? In Julie Marcotte's all-new book, Christian and Chic: The Art of Living with Flair from the Christian Perspective, a close examination compares the mysterious and well-put-together modern French woman with several women from the Bible as well as a few men, including Christ and his disciples. As a mother of three grown daughters, the author describes her search for a way to exemplify and raise her daughters with biblical principles while developing a sense of style and panache that is sometimes lacking inside the Christian community. Full of honest, firsthand, and often hilarious experiences in the country of her husband's French ancestry, the author illustrates how and why a follower of Christ can and should be both Christian and chic.
Decree #1: Emotion Is Weakness.Decree #2: Error Is Unacceptable.Decree #3: Opinion Is Deadly. Her name is H8626-E. On the outside, she lives the normal life of any functioning robot. But on the inside? Well, that's a completely different story. She is a master of hiding, a master of masks. She masks her inability to follow the Three Decrees. She masks her faulty programming from all the other robots. She hides her emotions, errors, and opinions from the Authority. And most of all, though she doesn't know it, she is hidden from herself. But more difficult than any of the plethora of masks she maintains is that she is completely and utterly alone. The ancient humans, long extinct, never had to be alone, but H8626-E did not have that luxury. She was burdened by the unbearable weight of isolation and conformity. She was trapped within herself forever, in a constant state of hiding. Until one day, she meets someone. Someone who will change the trajectory of her life forever. Someone who gives her something more real than anything she has ever known. Someone who causes her to question everything she thought she knew about the world she lives in. And someone who knows her true name.
With men, it is all about the "Ds." We know some who are deceitful, demanding-- Maybe others are dangerous, disgusting, or drunks. In romance, there are two types of men who stand out-- First, and most plentiful, are the men who desire a woman and dedicate themselves to making her their toy. Second, are the men who devote themselves to one woman and delight in treating her like the Lord's precious princess. This novel is about the second type. The type from which more are needed! A tender, loving man who chooses to follow the teachings of Jesus. He is like a tree planted by streams of water. He devotes his entire self to loving one woman. He delights in her and treats her like the Lord's princess.

The underground iron mines of Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula were some of the richest deposits in the world. Axel and his younger friend, Jerry, worked in the Montreal mine where they forged a strong friendship. With hesitation, Axel shared a secret with Jerry--the mine was "haunted." Soon they were caught up in a spiritual battle that raged thousands of feet below the surface and emerged in the town of Ironwood, Michigan and the sprawling city of Dallas, Texas. The miners and spiritual beings, Mike and Gabby, would become entangled in circumstances that would involve a gangster, an American president, and a sinister plan to destroy the most valuable resource that remained on the south side of a geologic fault. Were these truly spiritual beings who knew something about the future? Could good come out of obvious evil, prosperity out of deception, spiritual awareness out of despair? Were they tormenting ghosts or angels on a mission? The battle continues to this day.
This was my journey leaving home at age twenty-three up until this current time at age sixty-one, writing this book. All that I could bring to California was my faith in God, a few dollars, my clothes, and a deeper calling in my life! How could I walk away and leave everyone behind in Connecticut like Abraham did? Was I right or wrong? Could I make it, or would I fail? My book will challenge you to see further than the natural things that you can imagine.Little should not be determined as not enough in your hands but revealed as sufficient, to begin with as I learned to steward it well, to grow exponentially into much more in my life for his glory! My story tells of the traps of the enemy, jumping over hurdles, healing, restoration, and victories in God if we just obey his Word and apply it to our lives. This is not "a step as easy as one, two, and three, I'm all better now" book. You must have and need the Holy Spirit to guide you into all truth (John 16:13-15). I believe in my heart that your life will be challenged and changed. I'm being transparent so that you or someone you may know can walk in the greater person of your calling without the fear and reservation of what the world thinks about your epistle life versus what God has mandated us to do!
The cover is based on a dream I had in 2013.I am in a dense forest. The ground is covered with crisp brown leaves. Looking around, I see no way out of the forest. Then suddenly, stepping stones appeared leading through the forest. In my sock feet, I start jumping from stone to stone. Every time I would jump, these gray, slimy, eel-like creatures I will call Snipes would jump up out of the leaves and nip my heels. The ground was full of them. I froze, and would not jump anymore. Then in the distance I saw a man, like an angel. He was dressed in a brown suede-like skirt and vest with brown strappy sandals to his knees. He had a long stick and was poking the ground. I could see the Snipes moving away every time he would poke into the leaves. I began jumping again as he came through the forest.Soon I came to a ridge that overlooked a clearing. The sun, like a bright white light, was shining through the bare trees. Leaping from the ridge, I began twirling, changing from my dark, drab clothes into a white dress when I lit on the ground into the clearing. I stood there basking in the glowing light. The dream continues.I walked through the clearing and came to the edge of a mountain. Looking down the mountain, I saw a village where the houses looked like little matchboxes. Where I was standing, to my left, suspended in the air was a box of white tissues. I pulled one out and began poking it into the fist of my left hand; it turned into a flower like a lily. Then I heard a voice whisper, "This is for your healing."
This book presents substantial scientific, archaeological, and historical evidence in support of the Christian worldview. The author argues Christianity is the only religion that affirms God as revealed by nature, identifies the terrible predicament of mankind lost in sin, provides a unique solution to the predicament, and is confirmed true by miracles. Classical arguments for the existence of God are presented in detail. Evidence from modern astronomy reveals a cosmos that had an absolute beginning, was stretched, and is decaying. Evidence from modern science reveals the earth is a privileged planet uniquely suited for intelligent life, not by chance but by design. The inadequacies of evolutionary theory are explained. The author argues intelligent design and creation are superior explanations for the origin of life and the appearance of complex living organisms. Ancient Assyrian chronicles and monuments provide extrabiblical evidence of Old Testament people, places, and events. The Old Testament Law, which appears harsh by our contemporary standards, is amazingly merciful when examined in its ancient Near East context. Archaeological evidence confirms that Israel's pagan neighbors engaged in hideous religious practices, including extensive child sacrifice. The evidence shows God had morally sufficient reasons to destroy the pagan Canaanite nations. Historical evidence supports belief in the resurrection of Jesus Christ and in the subsequent rise of the early church. The author presents evidence from both Christian and non-Christian sources from the New Testament era. Examination of ancient manuscripts confirms the Bible was preserved, transmitted, and translated accurately throughout history. The author contrasts Judaism, Christianity, and Islam as examples of monotheistic ethical religions. He argues that while all three affirm certain truths, only Christianity solves mankind's predicament of being lost in sin. Christian truth stands on the greatest miracle of all, the resurrection of Christ and His bodily appearances, confirmed by eyewitnesses.
Year of Transformation is designed to help guide you through your own transformation. It is designed to be read over and over again as you record the changes that you are noticing on your own journey. My suggestion is that you read a chapter a month and also answer the questions at the end of each chapter. Remember that there is no rush in transformation so feel free to take your time to reflect on how each chapter awakenings something in you that will help you realize how God sees you and that you were created for greatness.
Do you find yourself tired, angry, and frustrated? Have the trials and tragedies of life left you feeling overwhelmed and defeated? Have you lost your way, and have you felt like a stray in need of rescue? You're not alone. That was me. For years, I was a lost soul. For years, I was a stray looking for rescue. I was exactly where you are right now, searching far and wide for answers--for hope. I found my answers and my hope when I turned to Jesus. When I finally had enough and cried out to God, He spoke to me in an unexpected way. He showed me that His desire and willingness to rescue me was similar to the way that I was willing to rescue my service dog Roscoe. The best part is Jesus wants to rescue you too. He wants to bring peace and joy to your life. No matter what you've been through and no matter how far away you think you are from God, all it takes is one step back and He will reach out and rescue you. If you're tired and weary, Jesus says to come to Him and He will give you rest (Matthew 11:28).
Songs and Letters is a compilation of poems, essays, and epistles. These were created throughout the author's adolescence and adulthood and cover a variety of sociological subjects, including death, love, and morality. In it, we observe the author's growth in knowing God and her knowledge of service to God. In a world where hate and animosity seem to be the norm for many devout people, this book offers a commentary on the nature of God. If the God you know teaches hate, not love, then it is not God you know. The book also reflects on the nature of personal relationships with God. Special emphasis on American values and hubris is included, as is an "Epistle to the Children."It is hoped that the reader will learn from this book--about themselves and about their world--and that the reader will attain a closer, deeper relationship with the God they recognize. God is bigger than any one religion.Peace.13
You may ask, Why would anyone want to read the Bible, let alone a consolidated version of the four gospels? How many people, when deciding to read about Christ Jesus's life and teachings, begin and finish after one Gospel, satisfied that they've read enough? Or when reading the four Gospels grow bewildered stumbling on the path of duplications, inconsistencies, and contradictions. To eliminate any reluctance in rereading the gospels led to the creation of one consolidated narrative of the four Gospels without many interrupting footnotes and in the language of the King James Version. To read one consolidated version is to focus on a clear path with a singular view of all the occurrences and details the writers of the four Gospels intended us to know. It is to simplify the journey and get the reader started on walking the path with Christ Jesus and his immediate witnesses, exploring what he desired us to learn about himself and his heavenly Father.Sometimes the four Gospels seem to conflict or disagree. For clarity, footnotes have been included to explain these differences. At the end is a glossary for those words, names, and terms used in the gospels, which may not be familiar to the first-time reader of the Gospels. An index serves as a table of contents and a cross-reference showing in which Gospel the stories and teachings are located. The index makes an excellent quick reference guide--locating the stories and teachings in each of the four Gospels quickly and easily.

Everything written came from the mind of Christ. God is speaking directly to his people. This is not written in commentary or written by man's education or his intellect. God is speaking to his people through his mind, spirit, and Word, making direct statements. God himself said we have the mind of Christ; therefore, God wants you to hear and understand his perspectives. Oftentimes, men write about their understanding of the Word or a scripture or their conclusion on different matters concerning the Word (Psalm 19:14). God is speaking from the standpoint of the first birth which was by flesh, but the second birth by the will of God by the spirit. Even how marriage is viewed through the eyes and mind of God between male and female. How the church should conduct itself by the Word and spirit of God. Those who seek God, he shows them what's in his mind and his ways, to follow him, and in so doing, exposes the enemy. This book was written with God overseeing every word, punctuation mark, every letter from cover to cover. Written for his people and all who will give their life to Christ. God didn't just want to visit his people but to inhabit with his people, so they will grow and mature in him to experience personally his power and authority and know how to use it. God speaks through his mind to you, because now you see and hear more from man and less of God. Man will someday bow their knees before God of his will and his authority. This book was written by the mind of God to show and teach all men the uncompromising power of the Word of Christ through the Holy Spirit, so men will know the truths of God as men apply them in their life through salvation.
My purpose for writing this book is to correct and encourage proper understanding and application of the scriptures rather than traditional stories and beliefs that have misled many for centuries. I believe it has been placed upon my heart to finally write down and share some of the things God has given me over the years, to cause people to really think about where they will spend eternity and with whom.
As a young man, I read many books and took many courses of study in pursuit of God's purposes for mankind and wished there was a book that covered most of the major themes in the Bible. As you may have correctly suspected, I never found such a book and decided to work to provide that vital resource for not only aspiring young people but people of every age, believers and unbelievers, in particular, parents, caregivers, teachers, ministers of the gospel, and government officials. This book outlines in clear terms the purposes for which the Living God Jehovah our Creator made man, including the motivation He experienced. Sections that will gain special attention are the constitution of man and the nature of angels, topics theologians have debated for generations. Apostle Peter, in his salutation to all saints, said, "Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. According as His divine power has given us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that has called us to Glory and virtue" (2 Peter 1:2-3). The teaching of this book will assuredly provide prayerful readers a guide to receiving the manifold provisions of God for the needs they experience in life and ministry.
I've learned through the school of hard knocks that life's journey is planned by God and not our own.My nuclear family, friends, and Christian exposure influenced the person that I became. I've learned that God's plans are not thwarted by our self-determination and direction. Eventually, I saw life through God's lens and gained a spiritual perspective over time. Through my life's journey of free will, undesirable outcomes emerged. In retrospect, I suffered the consequences because I had a rebellious nature toward my God.I married men who were incompatible and unequally yoked, which was my cross to bear. I point to incidents and occurrences that lead to failed marriages. But the good news is that I finally embraced the truth and turned to my first love, Jesus Christ. I spiritually connected to the good book written by men of faith. I felt compelled to share the story of God's plan of redemption through His Son, Jesus Christ. I learned that His yoke is easy and that His burden is light. Now I implore you to never give up if you mess up, fall off, or slide off the train. It's your choice, and your life is in the balance of a positive or negative outcome. If you choose disbelief, your destination is with the adversary. If you choose Christ, you're on your way toward the Kingdom's Mansion on the Happy Day Express.
This book is for anyone who needs reassurance of Christ's true existence. My relationship with him grew as I got older, and with each answered prayer that he blessed me with, I became closer to him. Anyone with any doubt about his truth hopefully will read this and see how very real he is through every season of our lives and every problem. If you listen, you will hear his voice.

The author proposes a "workable" pathway for the US to achieve net zero CO2 emissions from the transportation and electrical power sectors of the US by 2050. The intent is to describe in straightforward terms what it will take to achieve such a goal. Providing basic background information on the measures necessary to transition from a fossil-fuel-based power source to one based on renewables will provide the reader insight to the enormity of this goal. The author attempts to outline the major hurdles facing the US in reducing CO2 emissions. Hurdles to achieving this goal are clearly presented to allow readers to put into perspective what this transition entails and the significant obstacles that must be overcome to achieve net zero. The book highlights the difficulty of this task and clearly states that achieving net zero for the US by 2050 is highly unlikely. The author then applies the same logic on a limited scale to describe the difficulty of achieving net-zero CO2 emissions on a worldwide basis. Applying the same logic used for the US analysis with regard to the retirement of coal-fired and natural gas-fired electrical generation capacity demonstrates the difficult path the world faces regarding climate change due to carbon dioxide emissions. The book concludes with a bleak scenario of what the world faces with regard to climate change.
