Let's take this journey together, leaving no one behind.
I thank God for giving me His divine word to share with this dark world and share it in a way that will penetrate the hearts of mankind. We are living in a world that seems unthankful. This world needs a spiritual checkup. This world needs to believe that God is our refuge if we let Him.God caused me to come out of darkness into the light, but it took some suffering. No cross, no crown.God has been a storm calmer in my life, but I came this far by faith, leaning on the Lord.God's word penetrated my heart. He gave me victory over my adversities.I thank God for being a light to my family and church family. I have been letting God orchestrate my life since I turned my life over to Him.
Foursaken is the untold story of anguish, confusion, and soul evolution of a young man coming face-to-face with the darker side of spirituality to discover himself.Khalil started his life in the projects with his loving mother and his older brother at his side. The absence of his biological father left a black hole inside his heart that nothing seemed to fill. As a child, Khalil was desperate to be loved and accepted by the people around him. The harder he tried to fit in with others the more he realized he didn't. Being raised by a community of single mothers and their kids within the walls of his run-down apartment complex left Khalil growing up feeling rejected and lost as his family started bouncing from town to town.It wasn't until Khalil found Valiant Transformation Academy for Boys (VTAB) that the hole inside his heart began to fill and the pain began to lessen. For the first time in his life he felt like he belonged somewhere. VTAB gave Khalil so much more than a community; it gave him meaning, purpose, and acceptance that he had longed for in his mundane existence. VTAB quickly became a safe haven and a second family to Khalil and became the root of Khalil's success in making friends, athletics, and in life until the unimaginable happened. The founder of VTAB Ted Armstrong who had taken Khalil under his wing as a son, betrayed his trust in the most disturbing and alarming way known to man. The aftermath sent Khalil into a tailspin, leaving him to question everything he knew about life, VTAB, and most of all himself. Khalil soon found himself dragged into a life-altering court case that put all eyes on him with media attention from the entire world. With the trial sparking outrage, betrayal, and confusion across the country, we learn in the book Foursaken, how Khalil picked up the pieces of his shattered life? From growing up with no father to being mentored by the world famous Ted Armstrong and from being at the lowest point of his life to being involved in one of the most controversial story in the world. Foursaken is a must read story about betrayal, agony, and despair, but most importantly forgiveness, redemption, and true resilience. Spencer LeGrande, Inc.
The reason for writing this book is because of God's irrefutable love for the people of India through His only Begotten son, Jesus Christ. This book explores the records of archeology, history of migration, language, and religion of Hinduism, and the findings are astonishing in that it is not what we normally expect. The author described the character and attributes of the six major Hindu deities: Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, Indra, Krishna, and Rama as written in the ancient sacred Vedic Hindu texts: Rig Veda, Samaveda, Yajur (Black and White) Vedas, Atharva Veda, Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, Ramayana, Mahabharata, and the Puranas, and they are definitely not as common beliefs or rumors passed down from generation to generation. A comparison is made with the character and attributes of God as described in the Christian Bible.Similarly, the author explores the origin of Hinduism's major doctrines: Krishna's claims, the Samsara cycle, Trimurti, avatars, dharma, self-realizations, renunciation of and freedom from attachments, yogic meditation, demonic possession, and minor doctrines like worship, idol worship, sin, death incarnation, castes, hell, curses, women, astrology, etc. as found in the ancient sacred Vedic texts as mentioned above and compared them with the theology, doctrines, and practices as found in the Christian Bible.
The Gift of a Father gives specific things that my father, Leonard James, Jr. did throughout my life thatwere truly gifts and blessings to me. He did these things by way of example, teaching and mentoring that have been real blessings over the entire seventy-five plus years of my existence.Key points in his teachings are:1. The sovereignty of God emphasizes that everything that man uses in technology and commerce was created by God. We can do nothing apart from our Creator whether we acknowledge Him or not.2. My father set forth God's model for manhood by his example and teaching. He emphasized that God set forth the model or pattern in the first two chapters of Genesis.3. He established that my identity must be set by Godly principles and not by the thinking and behavior of the people and culture around me.4. He stressed the importance of having a vision for life and to avoid wandering aimlessly.5. As I entered puberty he impressed upon me the importance of commitment in marriage and a relationship with a female. This means there is more that just sex involved. He set the example in that he was married to my mother for 59 years before his death.6. Life is filled with traps and snares. He taught me to be careful when dealing with temptations and "bait".7. Racism was a major issue while I was growing up in Mississippi in the 1950s and 1960s. He and my mother emphasized that my success was possible and I had to assume responsibility for it.8. He raised me and my sisters to look to God's unconditional love and His Grace even though we made mistakes.

Finding JOY in Cancer chronicles my battle with cancer, spanning approximately one year--from diagnosis to treatment to recovery. Throughout the book, I share plenty of stories, selected quotes, as well as some meaningful Bible verses. At the age of 65 cancer stuck its nose into my life. It was cancer of the throat. Thinking like a lifelong sport coach and coach educator, I created a game plan. For me to survive this fight with throat cancer I needed a positive mindset, with God by my side. I needed Him to help me through this adversity. My focus was on a bit of Scripture from James 1:2-3: "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance."I was determined to find JOY in this killer, but how? Well, God grabbed my heart and said, "Come along with me, son." So, we fought it. We beat it. And I did find JOY throughout the entire cancer experience. That inspired me to share my story with others. My purpose is to share how God practically carried me through my treatment and recovery. It is hoped that this short book will allow the reader to think about how he or she might find JOY when encountering trials and adversity, even cancer.
Dan Rather of CBS News calls it "The Killing Fields of America," but little do they know about the dreams those kids had. Somehow I escaped the destruction these kids were about to get into, so I could tell my side of the story that ruined so many lives forever.I myself was blinded by the powers of darkness. We had a code and believed in death before dishonor. As I matured, I realized how there is no honor six feet under and how you're forgotten after a few decades behind bars, all because we lived by a code that was a lie.We tend to blame the man with the power to lock us up and throw away the key, but we forget who made a choice to follow that code that gave that man the power. As we sit in our cells wondering, "Why me? Why me?" I remember there is no honor in a lie. There is a way which seems right unto men, but at the end, it brings forth destruction. (Proverbs 16:25) There is an evil, which I have seen under the sun, and I lie heavily upon men. (Ecclesiastes 6:1) Nothing is truly learned until it is truly lived. (Deepak Chopra)
Celebrating Sixty-Plus Years of Being a Twin with My Special-Needs Brother was birthed by my desire to honor and celebrate my twin on our sixtieth birthday. For several weeks in April of 2020, our sixtieth birthday month, I posted short daily posts on Facebook, telling stories about my twin, Marvin, known as "Buddy." My sister, Dorothy, assisted me on this project. We received many comments encouraging us to write a book. Two years later, we had the manuscript ready for submission. This is the story of our family's journey with Buddy, who was brain damaged at birth and diagnosed with epilepsy at sixteen years of age. It's not a path we would have chosen for Buddy, and I've often wondered what life would have been like for us as twins if Buddy had not been a special-needs person. However, we would have missed out on so much had we not had our "Buddy." We want our story to give testimony to the fact that joy and contentment in life are not dependent upon circumstances. Rather, it is living life in service to others with an attitude of gratitude and opening our hearts to recognize the blessings, tangible or intangible, that the Lord has given us.
The Green and the Blue tells of life's fragile beauty, the gift of nature we are born into, the appreciation of the simple pleasures in life, and the inspiration it brings to those who embrace it.

There are two sides to every coin. There usually are two sides to every story or differing exchange of ideas. Coin of Brokenness tells a story of brokenness, but it also points to the steps to healing. The before and after of brokenness is not always pretty, but there is a choice that will begin the healing process to a new sense of wholeness. Brokenness does not need to be a final chapter in your life's story. It can be the stepping stone to a whole new awareness of God and the power He enables to overcome the components of brokenness that every human being has encountered. God wants to rewrite your broken story to a whole new experience of grace. Embrace Him, and He will give you the positive side in place of the negative side to your Coin of Brokenness.
The Men Within is a collection of intimate thoughts, prayers, and letters that represent the struggles of the man, the good man, and the godly man that dwell within me and a sharing of insight into how they transition from one to another.I believe that we all have had situations when we have struggled between doing what is right or wrong, being generous or selfish, demonstrating initiative or procrastination, being caring or obtuse, and being forgiving or exacting punishment, even if one should dare to love. The struggle will always be there when such challenging issues arise to trouble us. The concern is not if the issue will get resolved, but which facet of a person will respond to resolve the issue at hand. Will it be the one that wants to fulfill the desires of the here and now, the one that wants to do the right thing for family, friends, and community, or the one that has the desire for every person to consider the decisions that affect life after this one? With the facets of an individual transitioning from one to another with troublesome issues of anger, disappointment, frustration, stress, pain, love, happiness, deception, and admiration, sometimes there is no resolve that the individual can arrive at other than taking those things back to the one who created all things, is in all things, and can reconcile all things.
How often do we get frustrated when someone wrongs us? Sin has a way of entering into our hearts in ways that we may or may not even notice. It is our job to be watchful of those instances. If we can acknowledge and identify those areas, we can be better equipped to stand firm in our faith and our fight against sin. This book dives into what sin is, why we sin, and how sin is effecting our daily living. Corey Meyers dive into both general and specific examples of how we justify our sins to the point where we may feel we are doing the right thing. We may have our own reasons for our actions in this physical world, but we must be aware that sin is still sin. We cannot make sin right. We cannot make sin an acceptable behavior. How can we know what sin is if we are never taught what is right and wrong? Reading the Bible and prayer are essential in our walk with Jesus. This book is by no means the ultimate truth but a guide to help in our understanding of sin and ways we can be mindful of paths we choose to take. There is no question that we are humans full of sin. There is no question that we live in a sinful world that is full of temptation and false truth. We must use Scripture to guide us. If we are not equipped in the spiritual truth, we will fall into temptation and sin.Sin can be defined as anything against God. Sin that is of human nature is our instinctive reactions that go against the Word of God. Sin that is of human intent is our willingness to serve something that is not God. This book contains questions that you may or may not be going through in this very moment, and I believe that alongside the Scriptures, this book can help you understand the sinful world we live in, as well as the sins that are growing in your heart.
Little Gilbert was a pig that lived on the farm, looking for a special gift to help the farmer out on the farm and to be gifted like other little animals, but the only thing that Little Gilbert can do was just lie in the mud all day while all the other little animals on the farm were doing their chores. Little Gilbert wanted to be like the other animals on the farm, but he did not have a special gift to help out on the farm. Sadly, Little Gilbert ran away from the farm into the wilderness, looking for that special gift. An old owl in the wilderness helped Little Gilbert find his special gift with the Lord's prayer. Then a bright light came over Little Gilbert, and the Holy Spirit gave him wisdom about his special gift. Little Gilbert was overjoyed by the Holy Spirit. He ran back to the farm and became a shepherd for the farmer over the animals.

"When the Queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the Lord; she came to prove him with hard question." To know the name of the Lord is the most important and exciting thing.Abraham heard that God is the almighty God. Moses heard that God is the I Am, that I Am. Jacob seeks diligently for the name only to hear that the name is secret. And the same was said to Manoah. But to Mary; the reveal names was given. Jesus! "For he shall save his people from their sins."And last of all, to Paul, on the road to Damascus, when he asked, "Who art thou, Lord?" the Lord said, "I am Jesus."
This book is a chronological relating of the raising up of a prophet of God.Many of us have read the Holy Bible and learned of spiritual work done by various prophets of God throughout the history of man. We have read and learned that God raises up his prophets to know his Voice. This book relates how God has done that in these days with his prophet.Prophet Mark is not unlike other people. He endures the same physical and emotional things that others may encounter in their lives. The only difference is that Prophet Mark has been hearing from a Voice from where No Body could be seen. And has developed the faith that comes from hearing.God views this form of hearing from him as a bother to man's ability to enjoy life of their own choosing. And does not want to bother his children with this. However, God does have an occasional promise keeping need to speak with his children. And makes use of the prophets who he has raised up to faithfully know and heed his Voice to speak through.God has not changed. God is still with us.
