It's Me & Menopause(r) is a research manuscript written by Dr. Karen Resseguie. The intention behind her work is to provide insight for women suffering through menopausal symptomology: to include hot flashes, night sweats, fatigue, low libido, and vaginal dryness. She edifies today women outlive their ovaries, as the average age of natural menopause is fifty-two and, according to the Center for Disease Control, the average life expectancy for women is 78.8 years, supporting that women live in menopause for approximately thirty years of their life.Dr. Karen Resseguie's educational grabber to help menopausal women is to note that menopausal women's symptoms are caused by the depletion of their sex hormones. Yet giving back a small percentage of hormones can and will help alleviate one's complaints.Dr. Karen Resseguie's exploration includes an alternative approach to the traditional use of synthetic hormones, which is bio-identical hormone replacement, a plant-based derivative.

I had retired officially after forty years of active ministry in churches in Oregon and California. But in retirement, and at the age of seventy-five, I was invited by the pastor and elders of a church in California to join their staff as minister of visitation. I understand that in their invitation was a concern that older folks who could no longer be as active as they might have been would not be lost or forgotten. In three-and-a-half years of this ministry, I became better acquainted with some whom I had already known and came to know many whom I had not known before. Occasionally, one or another of these friends would, in the course of conversation, utter the words, "Why am I still here?"This book deals with that question, what might be behind its being voiced, and the answer or answers to it.
Do the scriptures support a secret Rapture to rescue the Church before the tribulation of the last days, or do believers need to prepare to face a time of persecution that will test their faith? Many Christians have been taught that Jesus Christ will Rapture away believers from the earth before the tribulation of the last days. Many others believe the Church will go through the tribulation and meet Christ in the air at His Second Coming. How do faithful Christians arrive at different conclusions? This book takes a fresh look by weighing the biblical evidence to answer these questions about the Rapture. Lay aside what you have always heard and take an impartial look of what does the Bible really say or doesn't say. You may be surprised at what you discover. The mystery surrounding the Rapture is explored by addressing six key questions in uncovering whether Christ's return is marked by one event or two. The two most popular viewpoints, the pretribulation and posttribulation Rapture, will be contrasted in a fair and balanced study. Prepare yourself for what lies ahead for our world.Craig Cordle has spent over thirty-seven years in the teaching ministry with a passion in Bible end-time prophecy. His insight in this area and impartially on the subject provides a unique perspective in addressing questions concerning the Rapture. This book will serve as an invaluable guide in the debate of the timing of the Rapture.
John Chapman, author of the original Johnny Apple Seed book, was not a superhero like George Washington or Abraham Lincoln, but he became a simply delightful character by planting apple trees across much of the unpopulated early Americas. Why did Dr. Apple want to become the Johnny Apple Seed of the twentieth century? He wanted to show how different life was in the early twentieth century, how young children could get into so much mischief, causing trouble and at times getting hurt. And then cause more mischief the next time they are out playing and growing up in the oil fields. John knew that young children loved the original story, so he thought life in the Coalinga, California Oil Fields would be of interest and become loved as much as the original story. How long will career number three last for Dr. Apple? He is in his early nineties and going strong. John shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Hopefully, he will live into his hundreds so he can write another book about a hundred years with Johnny Apple Seed. He currently resides in the Central Valley of California with his son. Johnny Apple Seed in the Twentieth Century is a positive story to give the future generations a reason to be successful.
As Christians, we sometimes feel God is so far away. Life takes us through so many trials. Many times, it seems like the road will never end. Some days, we may feel hopeless, depressed, downhearted, and like giving up, but it won't always be like this. We are not alone. We have to constantly remind ourselves that God is so near us. Have hope no matter what life circumstances we face. Our trials come to make us strong. God loves us, and He has a plan for each and every one of us. God demonstrates His love toward us in that, while we were sinners, He hung on the cross for us.We cannot allow the devil to deter our minds and make us feel God doesn't hear our prayer. God is always there ready to deliver and strengthen us. This is a great book on how God is with us when we are going through trials and tribulations. No one can read this book without feeling impressed to trust God more and know He is a prayer-answering God. It is a book that will inspire and entice readers to desire more time alone, meditating on the goodness of God. This book will help you to realize that it doesn't matter how unfortunate things come in your lives, trusting in God will help ease the pain.
Spirit Poems was birthed from times of solitude and prayer with the Holy Spirit of God. During these times, the words of the poems sprung up in my broken spirit as prayers, renewing my soul and cleansing me in the presence of Christ.Spirit poems are, to me, like the psalms, my personal psalms that I have decided to share with others. It is a gift to me from God that I have given back to Him to honor and glorify Him.I pray that this collection of poems will bless, comfort, strengthen, and bring joy to any reader, especially those who may find themselves in a difficult or solitary place. I pray also that it will be instrumental to bringing someone to the acceptance of the love of Jesus Christ.
Baptism, Superstitions, and the Supernatural by Rev. Dr. Lesley G. Anderson is a book uniquely, and unquestionably, one of the most informative and remarkable of its type. The sacrament of baptism is undoubtedly to this day an exceedingly controversial sacrament of the Christian Church. The continuing differing debates, arguments, and views about adult (believers') versus infant baptism are examined. Superstitions and the supernatural associated with this sacrament are given adequate attention in addition to the many other informative factors relating to this sacrament. Further, this sacrament is examined as a scriptural, psychological, theological, and social reality. The introduction of baptism as a liturgical phenomenon highlights the educational quality of this book as it takes the reader into the interesting and fascinating areas of baptism of blood, baptism by fire, baptism of the dead, baptism of the Holy Spirit, and baptism in the name of Jesus only. In addition, this book brings to the fore an intrinsic excitement and understanding about the symbols and symbolisms, images and mysteries, signs and wonders associated with this sacrament. The role of the Holy Spirit and the centrality of Jesus in the baptismal act are of importance recognized. If symbolically baptism means dying to sin and rising to new life with Christ, does this apply only to adult believers? This book explores the question against the background of research conducted in the Central American country of Belize that unearthed the views and beliefs of laypersons. The reach of the work extends beyond Belize, and Methodist traditions are compared with contrasting beliefs and practices of other denominations. Popular superstitions associated with baptism are also explored as well as the impact of African cultural practices on Christian theology in the lived experience of Caribbean peoples.Although this research was conducted in Belize, it is borderless and boundless. Of vital interest is the exploration of this sacrament in African religious beliefs and cultural practices. According to Professor Neville Duncan, former director of the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social and Economic Studies at the University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica, the book is "theologically and sociologically stimulating...while written from the Methodist perspective...the issues raised will resonate with all Christian denominations." All denominations noted in this book are given their due respect regardless of their beliefs and/or baptismal practices.
This is a very inspirational book. A book that God revealed to me and inspired me to write about three years ago and I hope when readers begin to read this book, that it really will help them if they are down and out, or just need to read about these pastor's story, and what they read causes them to want to stay closer or get closer to Jesus Christ. I found out that sometimes we get down and out and don't sometimes know who to turn to, but if we pick up a book like this and read about others like these pastors and read about how they made it through life's ups and downs, maybe what they said can be very encouraging and inspiring in your own life. That's one thing I like about my book, any book, especially if the book is very inspiring like this book. When they pick this book up and begin to read what's inside and see what others has said, maybe they can see something they can relate to daily. I heard and old saying, you can't judge a book by its cover until you open it up and see what's inside. So, when readers pick up this book and see what's inside, I pray what they read be a blessing to them and forever change their life.
