We have all experienced dark places at some point in our lives. If you haven't, just keep living; it's bound to come your way. One thing is for sure: You never have to stay there, nor do you ever have to feel alone. When you have God in your life, He will be the light at the end of the tunnel, that is, if you allow Him to. He can heal, deliver, and restore you better than you were before.Embracing in His Grace will empower you and give you the strength, courage, and determination to get through the adversities you may embrace in your life--whether it's cancer or some other disease that threatens your life. I was determined to be like "the tree planted by the water. I shall not be moved. I shall not die, but I shall live" (Psalm 1:3, in my own words).I hope that this book will touch your heart miraculously. I pray that it will help you better understand how one thinks, feels, and operates day-to-day while living with cancer (especially if you are a caregiver or someone who has a loved one going through this dreadful disease). I pray that God will give you the courage, if you're on a cancer journey, to never give up. For He will never give up on you.

Book Leadership is never easy, and tomorrow's leaders will need to be the very best possible to deal with the volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) realities they will awaken to every day. The COVID-19 pandemic has been called by some a black swan event--something extremely rare that only happens once and could not have been foreseen. Meteorology, however, tells us that those once-in-a-lifetime storms are beginning to happen once a decade as the historical patterns seem less relevant with each passing season. Similarly, leaders will need to be more strategic now than ever to deal with challenges ranging from diversity to AI to hybrid work environments. Their ability to synthesize their belief system, cultural experience, and worldview will be necessary as they operate in authenticity and humility at the head of their organizations and strive to leave a legacy and long-lasting impact. This book offers support to leaders of all seasons and experience levels. No matter where you are in your leadership journey, it can help you with the next step. With an emphasis on blending the science and art of leadership, it provides tools and techniques to help deal with the most difficult leadership challenges. Part coaching manual and part field manual, it combines case studies, philosophy, motivation, and step-by-step instruction in a clear and concise, easy-to-read book that you will reference repeatedly. Pulling examples off the front page of today's new normal while expounding on biblical stories to demonstrate real-world truths, it seeks to draw the leader into a deeper relationship with God and strengthen their call to leadership. This book is broken down into three sections: "The Past," "The Present," and "The Future." Each of which examines relevant topics on the leader's journey, enabling them to use it as a resource for a specific topic or to read it through for a holistic approach in their own journey. Today's Christian leader was put here on this earth for such a time as this, and this book seeks to provide strategic tools to help them be the leaders that change the world and usher in the kingdom of heaven.

The shelves are full of books on self-help that sadly lead you to just that, self. The abundant life requires the very opposite. You must die to yourself. In and of ourselves, we are nothing. We can do nothing apart from Christ. He is our hope, strength, peace, and joy and our very life. Without Him as the center of our lives, we are merely existing. We must completely rely on His wisdom, discernment, and direction for our lives. He sees the beginning to the end. He is omnipotent. Why would we even think of looking to ourselves for anything when we have Him a breath away? I believe we're in the last leg of the race as darkness is closing in like never before. This is our opportunity as believers to let our light shine as never before. I believe this is our finest hour and our supreme hour of destiny! And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony and they did not love their life even to death. (Revelation 12:11)In this book, I will be sharing with you the keys that the Lord gave me that led to the abundant life I now live. It's where rivers of living water flow from your innermost being. Come find and get in sync with the abundant life and run with everything that you have in the last leg of the race and reach the goal--heaven! In my mind, I'm already there! The best is yet to come!

There has to be more to leading worship than what I've been doing. That nagging thought drove William Kirkwood to develop this primer on worship for all lead pastors and worship planners who have wondered the same thing. Most pastors come out of seminary with little training in worship yet are ultimately responsible for the worship life of their church. Most worship planners/leaders have musical and leadership skills but little theological background in worship. Kirkwood brings his decades of worship leading experience and education from the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies into the pages of this timely book. He explores the biblical, historical, theological, and cultural foundations of worship and brings them together with practical guidance on how to create vibrant worship services that facilitate a divine-human interaction. The primer is written for leaders in contemporary "free" churches, traditional/liturgical churches, and charismatic/Pentecostal churches. Each chapter includes thoughtful exercises and questions to help in your own church context, as well as recommended resources for further study.

In the beginning, God spoke, and creation raced to life. Since the beginning of time, His words have been the substance that holds the very fabric of life together. God's Word is true, powerful, and eternal. His instruction is the perfect standard.Sin entered God's creation through Satan twisting and bringing confusion to what God's voice has instructed. Satan's lies brought deception among people who walked in the perfection of Eden with God. That same deception is prevalent in believers today.Modern Christianity has become defined by catchy, easy-to-share, and easy-to-remember phrases and ideas that are accepted as true. But do these ideas even line up with God's Word?Do you really know who told you that?

This is the true story of an American dreamer, a young man who envisioned at an early age the opportunities that citizenship could offer if applied correctly. His mother and father raised him and his five brothers in a loving, unified home, and with this strong foundation, he believed in the importance of a two-parent upbringing. A phone call from a scheming so-called best friend, and a mother intent on ridding herself of the burden of parenting a rebellious, immature daughter with serious behavioral issues, set off a series of events, that derailed this goal-oriented young man's path. A Teen Marriage Circus is based on the author's unimaginable true experience of being forced into a toxic relationship spanning over forty-seven years. This cautionary tale was written to help others recognize the red flags of manipulative behavior and avoid making the same mistakes.

The book was designed to help young ministers and laypersons understand expository preaching and the work of preaching or pastoring in God's church. Using our experiences and personalities in expository methods of preaching can help us to transmit and communicate through the Scriptures the writer's historical context as we are led by the Holy Spirit who applies our personality and experiences as we communicate them to the hearers.

This book, Waiting: Your Prayer Is Heard, was birthed in me by God from Him bringing me through the waiting process to fulfilling His will for my life. Until your prayer concerning your desires are manifested and your faith becomes sight, it can be a difficult process to go through. I thank God for the delay to help me understand how He works.Waiting: Your Prayer Is Heard shows my waiting process, the Lord revealing to me Luke 1:13: "Fear not Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son and thou shalt call his name John." The Bible already declared that Elisabeth and Zacharias were stricken in years, which in my estimation was not praying for a child at that point, but during their early marriage and childbearing years. The Lord revealed to me their prayer went ahead of them, He delayed their answer, causing Elisabeth's barrenness until His appointed time, as John, their son, was selected to be the forerunner of Jesus Christ. It was a special birth due to the work John was chosen to do, he had to be born in the timeline of Jesus and was 6months older. This story and revelation were clear in my waiting period as I saw the hand of God in answering all my prayers in a specific way when God revealed my husband. I was able to see every unique conversation I had with the Lord through the years being packaged in him whom God sent, but I had to wait until God completed His work in him. We must know God hears our prayers despite the answer not coming immediately at times. We also must understand that God knows us best, and He is able to make the choice for us instead of us making it for ourselves. We can receive God's permissive will, but there is a joy that comes when we wait for the fulfillment of His divine will in our lives. Whatever you are praying for to be fulfilled in your life, as you wait, inquire of God what He wants you to do. This book highlights the processes you will encounter, ways to avoid distractions and the steps to take in maintaining your blessing when God has fulfills His promises to you.

This book includes three fictional stories that center around individuals commonly referenced in the nativity events in the Bible. By dramatizing specific characters, the stories show how these individuals exercise faith and perseverance to overcome obstacles and accomplish their own divine purpose. The first story, "A Dove in Darkness," shows how Mary reacts to her divine calling and doubts her ability to raise Jesus. She worries about how Joseph will react when he discovers her condition and if he will understand his role in joining Mary to raise Jesus. The second story, "Honey from the Rock," shows how a shepherd feels betrayed for fathering a daughter with a deformed leg. When he witnesses the angelic announcement, the first thought he has is to take his daughter to the child in hopes she will be healed. The last story, "Star of Destiny," follows one of the wise men, Melchior, who is determined to find and worship the holy child even though his health is fragile, the weather is harsh, and many of his companions leave the caravan to return home. When he does find the Christ-child, he doubts this young boy could be the divine King foretold by scripture, but his doubts are proven wrong when he encounters the child who saves his life.Hopefully, these stories will increase the reader's faith and help them understand the personal sacrifices each person paid to play their part in the divine plan.
