Full of incredible turns of events including secrets, deceits, lies and betrayals, the history of the Knights Templar from their triumphant conquests to their abrupt fall still fascinates. Find out the hidden history of the Knights Templar that really lead to their demise. The Knights Templar existed officially for less than 200 years. Founded to protect pilgrims who were travelling through the Holy Lands, their rise to power was sudden. They became some of the most feared warriors in the region, they had a mandate from God, they controlled perhaps the world's first real banking system, and they waged war against anyone who tried to wrestle Christianity's holiest grounds from the control of the Catholic Church. Within their short lifespan, they quickly became one of the most powerful societies in Europe, if not the world. But, just as they rose to power with relative speed, they fell from grace just as fast. Forged in the crucible of Middle Eastern conflict, their power was soon resented and feared. Before they could become even more powerful, the greatest nations in Europe and the Church turned on them. The once powerful Templars were hunted, caught, tortured, and eventually burned at the stake. According to their prosecutors, they were a devil-worshipping secret society who spat on the cross and plotted against the Pope. They were officially disbanded and their members treated with extreme contempt and prejudice.Or so goes the official story. In this book, we will not only look into the official history of the Knights Templar, but will examine the various ways their influence and ideas have tunnelled their way into the modern world. A group this powerful does not vanish overnight. Instead, their history has been linked to the Freemasons, to vicious curses, to the butchery of the Crusades, and even to Christian relics such as the Holy Grail. For many people, the Templars did not vanish and they did not relinquish their tight grip on the power structures of mediaeval Europe. Instead, they went underground. Read on to discover the dark and twisted secret history of the Knights Templar.Scroll back up and grab your copy today!
Evil has a face, a face not seen; a face not human. Someone is murdering the members of Second Baptist Church in Myrtle Beach. Pastor David Mitchell has felt the presence of evil, seen it's handiwork and is certain the intent is to destroy his ministry, his family and ultimately take his life. David is the last person to see each of the victims alive. "A Wolf Among Lambs" is the banner headline in newspapers throughout the country. The city police chief and the DA are scoring political points at Reverend Mitchell's expense. His only hope is to escape Myrtle Beach and find the person so filled with evil and hate that he might be cleared of capital murder charges. Myrtle Beach Murder is a unique story of one man's struggle against evil. The faces are human but the power behind those faces is the Evil One.
From the award-winning, critically acclaimed pen of Kim Iverson Headlee comes the fall of Camelot as you have never seen it before. The death of their mother knells the death of any hope for a joyful future for Gyan's identical twin daughters, Yfarryn and Gwenhwyfach. Their father, Arthur the High King, wastes no time in announcing firstborn Yfarryn's betrothal to Medraut-the man whom Gwenhwyfach secretly loves. And Yfarryn is in love with Angusel's son, Lannchu. The twins conspire to defy Fate and trade places. They know how ambitious is their scheme, for Yfarryn is trained in the domestic arts and Gwenhwyfach has chosen the warrior's path, yet the sisters are confident of success. Fate, however, shall not be defied. If you think you know how Camelot fell, read Twins. Incorporating ancient Welsh legends of the "False Guinevere" and "Feasting the Hungry Man," and featuring many characters introduced in Dawnflight, Morning's Journey, and Raging Sea, this glimpse into their destiny, thirty years after the setting of those novels, reveals the destruction of Arthur's realm that's unique in all of Arthurian literature. Praise for other Arthurian works by Kim Iverson Headlee: "Intense." USA Today (Dawnflight)"Solidly entertaining." Publishers Weekly (King Arthur's Sister in Washington's Court)

Gaius Julius Mahler is a thirty year old bipolar pianist who exists in three states: Mania- when he is possessed of enough energy to stay awake for five straight days, playing piano, getting high, and finding unprotected sex in any location he can get it; Depression- where he wallows in his old familiar friend pathos and allows himself to be weighed down by his parents' suicides, the miseries of his own failings, and the iniquities done unto him; and the Middle- that purgatory known as Des Moines where he is capable enough of function, but is buried under enough phobias and anxieties to leave him socially crippled. His roommate is the ghost of Ludwig van Beethoven, and he is quite aware that it is a hallucination, but he finds Ludwig's presence rather comforting even though the composer is often quite annoying.Gaius is currently in the middle, waiting to see which direction the conductor will send him next: an accellerando to mania or a diminuendo to depression, when his few friends give him an odd impetus to head out and socialize. Certain that any societal contact will send him spiraling into a depression (and seeing nothing wrong with that- the middle can be awfully tiresome), he instead meets a girl named Lenore and goes on a manic trip through a night of zombie waiters, sentient hamburgers, stormtroopers in ambulances, shifts in planetary gravity, Papageno from Mozart's The Magic Flute, and the moon, which he stole from the night sky.
The "Heavenly Citizens" series serves as a tool to help the Christian understand not only what the Bible teaches us, but also how to study the Bible. Explaining what the Bible teaches is like giving someone a fish to eat. Teaching him how to study the Bible is like teaching someone how to fish so he can feed himself. Both approaches are essential to developing spiritual maturity."Matthew" is the seventh volume in the "Heavenly Citizens" series. Matthew, a Jew, was hated as a tax collector for the Roman imperialists. This didn't stop Messiah Jesus from calling Matthew to be one of His disciples and even an apostle! Jesus was good at doing unconventional things like that. In this book we make note of a good many suchlike surprises on Jesus' part. Did you know that Jesus' ancestors included some unsavory sorts? Did you know that the religious bigwigs of Jesus' day considered Him to be of questionable character?Don't miss out on those details and much more. Enter through the front book cover and begin your trek through 1st Century Israel. Roman soldiers line the roads and avenues, fig trees are plentiful, and a gorgeous view of the Sea of Galilee and numerous fishermen make for a relaxing view. Jesus is a fantastic story teller. We know His stories as "parables", and He has not a few to tell in this book. Oh, and interpreting them is exciting too! Before we exit through the back cover though, we will have to pass a hill known as "The Skull" and mourn over three crosses and the outrageous injustice done there. Not to fret though. Three days later a sealed tomb is unsealed, only to discover that a dead body is no longer in it. Truth be told, the dead body is no longer dead! Wow!The approach for "Matthew" and for every volume in the "Heavenly Citizens" series is to teach the student the meaning of Scripture. We also teach him or her how to study the Bible on his/her own. We do this in two ways: we provide a few rules by which to govern our Bible study, and we demonstrate by example how to study the Bible. Experience is an outstanding teacher. We practice in our books the rules for Bible study. By walking through the Bible with us, the reader experiences firsthand what our method of study is like.We believe the student will come out of our studies with both an understanding of the Bible and the ability to truthfully understand the Bible on his/her own. The path lies before you. Walk through the gate and join the journey with us! And may the blessings of the Lord Jesus Christ be yours in abundance.

Marriage is not supposed to be this hard!Do you want to have a happy marriage? Or are you secretly more interested in finding a way out? Or in blaming the other person? Or in settling for a bitter, dull marriage? The goal of this short work is not so much to provide a totally systematic or comprehensive plan but to shed enough biblical help to assist normal humans. These chapters, even if far from perfect, might help a little. And to the degree that this small book is able to bring God's opinion on matters of marriage, that will help. Again, this is not exhaustive but it might be preventive. And an ounce of prevention may still be worth a pound of cure in your home. This book may say some things to you that others are too timid to say. Sure, I understand that it may even offend some. Yet no one is compelled to follow this advice. Following God's ways, however, would likely be more helpful than months of pity parties, consultations with divorce attorneys, or unnecessary medications. In fact, if more people would spend more time and money practicing marriage as God de-signed it, they could save tens of thousands of dollars. Those dollars could then be spent on really nice trips or second homes, instead of wasted on practices that do not help marriages.

Originally published as a pamphlet in 1853, and expanded to book length in 1858, The Two Babylons seeks to demonstrate a connection between the ancient Babylonian mystery religions and practices of the Roman Catholic Church. In some aspects, it was a precursor to the work of such scholars as Carl Jung, Joseph Campbell, and Jordan Peterson - albeit with a more direct sense of focus. Often controversial, yet always engaging, The Two Babylons comes from an era when disciplines such as archeology and anthropology were in their infancy, and represents an early attempt to synthesize many of the findings of these areas as they reflect on Biblical truth.
*Includes pictures *Includes online resources and a bibliography for further reading George Washington, the first President of the United States, warned against the formation of political parties, but it did not take long for American politicians to ignore him and draw a line in the sand regarding the power of the federal government and that of the individual states. That said, the line ebbed away among the bloodshed of the War of 1812, and until the election of 1828, American politics experienced the so-called Era of Good Feelings, during which Americans took heed of Washington's words and set aside party lines for a supposed new era of political cooperation. Following the tradition begun by his predecessors, James Monroe refused to run for a third term in office in 1824, leaving the White House wide open in the most regionally divisive election in American history. It began with John Quincy Adams, who was the favored candidate of the New England states. They recognized and respected his lifelong service to his country, as well as his experience and intellect. On the other hand, Southern voters favored Henry Clay, the acclaimed Speaker of the House who helped broker the Missouri Compromise, and they believed "The Great Compromiser" had the skills needed to continue to navigate the increasingly turbulent waters surrounding slavery. Meanwhile, William Crawford had the support of former presidents Jefferson and Madison but was in very poor health. Finally, Andrew Jackson had made quite a name for himself in the famous Battle of New Orleans and was the darling of the rugged people settling the expanding American West. All of the candidates were members of the Democratic-Republican Party, though Adams appealed to the former Federalists in New England thanks to his famous father. Not surprisingly, when Election Day rolled around, no candidate gained a majority in the Electoral College. While Jackson had won a plurality of the popular vote and electoral votes, he did not have the necessary majority of electoral votes needed to secure the presidency. In keeping with the rules laid down by the 12th Amendment, the House of Representatives had to choose between the top three candidates: Jackson, Adams and Crawford. Clay came in fourth and would never be president. However, he remained Speaker of the House and thus had tremendous influence over who would. While Clay disagreed vehemently with Adams over the issue of slavery, the two men agreed on most other matters, including higher tariffs and the need for internal improvements in America's roads and waterways. Thus, he threw his support behind Adams, who was chosen president by the House with the first ballot, cast on February 9, 1825. Having won the most votes, Jackson was already upset that he was not given the presidency, but when John Quincy Adams appointed Henry Clay to be his Secretary of State after Clay had played kingmaker in the House and thrown his support behind Adams, the Jacksonian Democrats were enraged. With accusations that the two had reached a corrupt bargain behind closed doors, Adams was already tainted before he could even start governing the nation. To understand the context of Jackson's accusations, it's necessary to remember that during this era, the office of Secretary of State, not Vice President, was seen as the conduit to the presidency. Adams had been in politics for most of his adult life, but his contemporaries and historians were both puzzled by the fact that he either refused to play politics or did not know how. Some have speculated that he did not like being president, while others have pointed to the Jacksonians also refusing to play ball due to their displeasure with the election results.

The Wellspring of Good - The last Words of the Master Beinsa Douno, compiled by Bojan Boev and Boris Nikolov.During World War II after the beginning of the bombardment of Sofia, Peter Deunov moved with a group of his followers to the village Murchaevo, in the Vitosha Mountains where they were welcomed into the home of Temelko. Here he gave his last directions and guidance, summarizing his previous lectures and outlining the future of humanity. These last words were taken down in shorthand and presented by his closest disciples Bojan Boev and Boris Nikolov in the book The Wellspring of Good. The Master shares deep insights into the inner realities of life, covering a vast array of subjects, including Paneurhythmy, Communion with Nature, Music, The Law of Love, Cosmic Consciousness, The Colors, Joy, Rejuvenation, The Culture of the Angels, The New Epoch, etc. "When I speak about the new man, I have in mind the people of the Sun who live with Joy. They are exuberant, generous, and overcome their difficulties easily. They are heroes, men with open hearts. They use everything wisely. They enjoy everything. In both suffering and pleasure, the new man is filled with an inner joy. He knows that both the bad and the good conditions are given in order for him to grow." (Peter Deunov)Peter Deunov (also known as Beinsa Douno), is a teacher of Esoteric Christianity, who lived and taught in Bulgaria during the first half of the 20th century. In recent years, this teaching, and its associated spiritual practices, have begun to bloom again, as the Bulgarians enjoy a greater degree of freedom. This teaching covers all aspects of life, with a special emphasis on music, spiritual dance (Paneurhythmy), and communion with God in Nature. This fourth edition includes: - a Preface by professor Harrie Salman- improved translations of the 134 chapters from the original Bulgarian- a timeline with the dates and events from the Master's life- an appendix providing the historical context of the Master's time in Marchaevo, where the events transcribed in this book occurred- an expanded set of photographs from lives of the Master and his follower

For most of us, we tend to hyper focus on beings such as Angels, demons and spirits of the dead etc. But, as you know, there is more out there than that. There is a class of being that is neither angel nor spirit of the dead. They are a parallel entity to humans. The Islamic Satan is one of these beings; which is a departure from the west where the devil is an angel gone rouge. These entities are so intertwined with us that it is impossible to go about our days without having some interaction with them. When things go bump in the night we assume it is one of the 3 classes of spiritual entities we are most familiar with, demons, angels and spirits of the dead etc. However, more often than not, they are neither of these 3. They are unto a class of their own. In folklore they are known as Jinn also known as Djinn. Jinn were brought to light via the religion of Islam, although texts do mention them before Islam. It is from Islamic stories however where we get a clearer picture of what the Jinn are. In fact, modern ideas of the Genie in the bottle is directly from stories about the Jinn. The word genie is derived from the word Jinn. Aladdin when he rubbed his lamp was speaking to a Jinn. In the west, Jinn are very much misunderstood. Often we associate them with demons or devils. Yes, some do have malevolent intent, and as I mentioned the "devil" in Islam is a Jinn, but there are many Jinn who are "good". They are more like humans than you can imagine, yet they have abilities we do not have, but can harness. In this book, we will discuss not only the nature of and type of Jinn, but also how to bind them to work for you. Before I continue however I'd like to give a warning. Jinn, like other spiritual entities need to be communicated with care. They can grant you what you want, but be careful what you ask for. Jinn are notorious pranksters, you might get what you want, but in a way you really would rather not have it...You have been warned. With that said, let us go deeper into the world of the Jinn.
Michael is thirty-nine and gay. Like his little niece, Kim, who has a learning disability, he is considered a non-citizen under the draconian Normalcy Laws. Kim's parents quietly arrange to flee to New Zealand, where the Normalcy Laws haven't been implemented. As Michael has a good job and has been careful to hide his homosexuality, he doesn't consider going with them. Instead, he remains behind and goes about his business as normal until one morning when he is confronted by two Black Guards. Hooded, Michael is taken to what he assumes is the Department of Law. Once people are taken there, they never see the light of day again. Elimination is the only punishment in the New World Order. There he is interrogated by The Man, a handsome officer of the Black Guards. In a desperately hopeless situation, is there any hope of surviving elimination? No one ever has in the past, but Michael discovers something about The Man that hints at his situation not being as bleak as it appears. Can he dare to hope there is a way out? Or is he so delusional that his fantasies of freedom have clouded his judgment? Under the oppressive Normalcy Laws, nothing is certain.
Three stage plays ideal for festivals, competition or showcase productions. Three very different themes. Careless Talk is set in the East End of London at the outbreak of First World War where a young woman of German descent encounters hostility. No Concessions where a fiftieth wedding anniversary exposes secrets between old friends. Calling has a struggling poet call upon the muses and is answered in an unexpected way. "Delightful...beautifully comic...a fine piece of theatre" Details of other award-winning one act and full length plays written by the author are available at www.christopherkell.com
