This book explores the currents of thought that ran counter to the main thrust of the revival of witchcraft in the 1960s, counter-currents that are growing in importance and influence some sixty years later. During the chaotic but colorful 1960s, witchcraft was reborn as a modern mystical practice. Many are familiar with Wicca, founded by Gerald Gardner, but there was a counter-current, now known as Traditional Witchcraft, which saw the art from a very different angle. Its chief thinker was Robert Cochrane, who envisioned witchcraft as a gnostic quest for ultimate knowledge and union with the divine. This volume explores his most important ideas, especially the way in which he re-envisioned ancient mythology, putting a new spin on old deities as well as on folkloric figures like Robin Hood and King Arthur and naming Tubal Cain, whom the Bible calls the first blacksmith, as his avatar of knowledge both sacred and profane. Though he wrote very little and died young, Cochrane left enough material behind for us to reconstruct the steps by which he urged each aspiring witch to take a crooked path to complete gnosis.

Enhance Your Power Like Never Before Mastering the Art of Ritual Magick contains three volumes that represent a comprehensive approach to developing a personal system of magic. The volumes are as follows: Volume 1 - Foundation establishes the basic practices and experiential knowledge required to unlock the knowledge base that is used to formulate and perform this unique approach to ritual magic. Volume 2 - Grimoire introduces the practitioner to the basic set of nine modular rituals that are used to build up a complete Wiccan or pagan ritual magic regimen. This suite of rituals represents the kinds of magic that an intermediate ritual magician must master to proceed to more advanced work. Volume 3 - The Greater Key demonstrates how the nine basic rituals can be developed and customized to become a uniquely personal grimoire of rituals. The key itself is a system of correspondences that the magician builds up with his or her own personalized symbology--such a key can be used to develop other rituals or unlock entire systems of magic. Of course, there is so much more material in these three volumes than what is simply stated here. You are invited to explore these magical systems from Frater Barrabbas in this groundbreaking book.

Mysteries of transformative initiation are found in the cycle of the hero and the heroine and expressed in the twenty-two trumps of the tarot. For the first time, they are brought together. Mastering the process of psychic transformation and wielding the powers of self-initiation are taught in this book. Self Initiation Made Accessible Initiation is one of the most mysterious and most documented of the traditional practices of Witchcraft. What is not well known is that behind the scripted initiations are the symbols of transformation encapsulated in the twenty-two tarot trumps of the Major Arcana. Initiations follow the literary cycle of the hero and the heroine, and combined with the trumps, produces a system of magic used to trigger and wield the powers of psychic transformation. Additionally, this book analyzes the traditional scripted initiations of Witchcraft, their relationship to Masonic initiations, and produces new practices like the periodic dedication rite, the third-degree ordeal, self-initiation of the four elements, the rumored fourth and fifth degrees, and the initiation mysteries of a Witchcraft inner order. Most importantly, this book gives the reader the ability to direct and shape their own inner cycles of transformation so that they might master the art of inner change for themselves and their students. The whole purpose of directing and shaping inner change is to assist in the overall process of achieving a sustainable mind-state of conscious ascension. The rituals and practices in this book give the reader, for the first time, the ability to design, write, perform, and realize the powers of psychic transformation and initiation.

The Holy Grail is many things to many people. The medieval troubadour saw it as a vision of heaven. In the twenty-first century, the quantum physicist finds heaven in parallel universes. The shaman, who links prehistory with the modern world, travels in other dimensions knowing he will experience the parameters of existence. In Sun God and Moon Maiden, Gordon Strong suggests that the presence of the Grail questions not only space and time but perception itself. The philosophy of Plato, the psychology of Jung and the nobility of kings are within the Grail's domain. It resides in the endless galaxy of the mind. This interior landscape is where we discover yet more gateways into Inner Space, realms where we may come to know the universe, and ourselves. From Atlantis to Arthur's Camelot, the path to Avalon still awaits. As Gordon Strong demonstrates in this fascinating book - encompassing mythology, magic and modern physics - the ancient wisdom of the Qabalah, the Tarot and Sacred Stone Circles are poised to lead us to the Chalice of Inspiration.
