The Internet has become mobile: the iPhone and the iPad have set off a wave of new developments, with eBooks, eJournals, and apps spearheading a new mass market. This volume contains practical instructions for the design and realization of products for the mobile publishing market. Starting from an analysis of how the market has developed, the authors use case examples to present the step-by-step course of product development. The presentation begins with a discussion of target group analysis and a consideration of suitable carrier media and product forms, and continues through marketing, a description of existing technologies, and a discussion of possible business models.
Personen schreiben sich u.a.
Wittgenstein's thought is reflected in his reading and reception of other authors. Wittgenstein Reading approaches the moment of literature as a vehicle of self-reflection for Wittgenstein. What sounds, on the surface, like criticism (e.g. of Shakespeare) can equally be understood as a simple registration of Wittgenstein's own reaction, hence a piece of self-diagnosis or self-analysis. The book brings a representative sample of authors, from Shakespeare, Goethe, or Dostoyevsky to some that have received far less attention in Wittgenstein scholarship like Kleist, Lessing,or Wilhelm Busch and Johann Nepomuk Nestroy. Furthermore, the volume offersmeans for the cultural contextualization of Wittgenstein's thoughts. Unique to this book is its internal design. The editors' introduction sets the scene with regards to both biography and theory, while each of the subsequent chapters takes a quotation from Wittgenstein on a particular author as its point of departure for developing a more specific theme relating to the writer in question. This format serves to avoid the well-trodden paths of discussions on the relationship between philosophy and literature, allowing for unconventional observations to be made. Furthermore, the volume offersmeans for the cultural contextualization of Wittgenstein's thoughts.

The scope of this volume will encompass a collection of research papers related to indexing and retrieval of online non-text information. In recent years, the Internet has seen an exponential increase in the number of documents placed online that are not in textual format. These documents appear in a variety of contexts, such as user-generated content sharing websites, social networking websites etc. and formats, includingphotographs, videos, recorded music, data visualizations etc. The prevalence of these contexts and data formats presents a particularly challenging task to information indexing and retrieval research due to many difficulties, such as assigning suitable semantic metadata, processing and extracting non-textual content automatically, and designing retrieval systems that "speak in the native language" of non-text documents.
