"In unity, we find strength. Through understanding, we find peace. Let the shared stories of Abraham guide us to a world of respect and harmony." - Richard W. SeyeauIn today's diverse and ever-evolving world, there's an undeniable thirst for understanding our roots and connections. This book seeks to quench that thirst by delving into the interconnected realms of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam-three major religions that trace their lineage to a shared patriarch: Abraham. Abraham's unwavering faith, dedication, and journey are celebrated across these religions, making his story an ideal starting point. This narrative isn't just about recounting tales from ancient scriptures; it's about discovering common ground, shared values, and the profound lessons that resonate across these faiths. We'll explore the rich histories, practices, and teachings unique to each religion while simultaneously highlighting their shared essence. From the sacred rituals in Judaism, the teachings of love and sacrifice in Christianity, to the pillars of Islam, readers will gain insights into the depth and beauty of these traditions. However, the exploration doesn't stop at understanding. It emphasizes the importance of interfaith dialogue, the potential for mutual respect, and the need to dispel longstanding misconceptions. We're living in times where divisions run deep, making efforts towards unity and understanding more crucial than ever. This book aims to be a stepping stone in that direction, encouraging readers to embrace diversity, not as a point of contention, but as an opportunity for enriching connections. Join me on this enlightening journey, not just as a reader, but as a seeker-someone ready to connect the dots, appreciate the shared heritage, and envision a world bound by understanding and mutual respect.

The theme of the third conference, held on the campus of Nashotah House from June 23-25, 2022, was "From Anchorhold to Parish: English Monasticism & Anglican Spirituality." The sixteenth-century Church of England was greatly influenced by late medieval English monastic spirituality. John Bede Pauley and Bede Thomas Mudge have both shown the monastic influence, especially from the Benedictines, on the Book of Common Prayer; and scholars such as Eamon Duffy have demonstrated the continuity between late medieval devotional practices and early Anglican piety. The use of the vernacular and an emphasis on the suffering Jesus, for example, are late medieval themes that recur in early Anglican faith and practice. Thus, the 2022 conference sought to explicate how late medieval English monastic spirituality was resourced by early Anglican Christians in both their personal devotional life and in parish practice.>Dr. Ann W. Astell (Professor of Theology at the University of Notre Dame) Rev. Dr. Bryan D. Spinks (Bishop F. Percy Goddard Professor Emeritus of Liturgical Studies and Pastoral Theology at Yale Divinity School)

One's Korban Quest is a spiritual endeavor of drawing closer to G-d, to faith, to one's life. Here Neil Spirtas looks at friends, family, a culture, and tradition through the natural world and the spiritual one. The Hebrew word Korban comes originally from the commandments in the Torah for sacrificial offerings. Doing homage in ancient times required great offerings, but after the catastrophic events surrounding the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 CE, Jews turned to prayer for atonement, "to reach out" and draw closer to G-d.It is our responsibility, as writers, to profess to be good and sweet faithfulness - in the magic and mystery of our words. My hope is readers will find your own Korban journey as fruitful and phenomenal as mine. Neil Spirtas
