Interoperability between the respective S-Series Integrated Product Support (IPS) specifications requires a common understanding of the key concepts to be applied to all the specifications.Thus, SX002D, Common data model for the S-Series IPS specifications includes a conceptual description of all data elements common to more than one S-Series IPS specification, and documents this as a consolidated and harmonized data model using UML. This allows each individual specification to utilize or extend it as required. It describes all classes and attributes that are shared, as well as all relationships and interfaces that these specifications utilize.This data model is key to understand how all S-Series data models interface with each other, and also ensures that the different specifications interact properly with each other and are 100% compatible at data level.
