The Slave Bible is one of the most powerful examples of manipulation using a controlled narrative. The Christian faith was the narrative being controlled, making the Slave Bible the ultimate propaganda tool and the greatest lie ever told.

Since this is the fourth book in the "Being" series of poems and pictures, I can look back at almost a half century of what I euphemistically call 'poetry'. As I reflect on that journey, I find that I have been asking myself some new questions, and yet also some of the same questions in new ways. I have always used my writing as a vehicle to help me understand the 'sturm und drang' of my life. I guess that in large measure, I can look at my entire life as a whiteboard upon which I have asked questions. Sometimes I erase what was there previously and write anew. At other times I scribble over previous entries. As a general principle of living, I have sought to understand meaning and purpose, to learn the deep lessons and to create new paths that lead to new vistas. The goal is always to ask new, more elegant questions, make new connections, and acquire deeper insights. Ultimately, I continue to seek new vistas to become a more useful tool of service in the great tapestry of existence. It would seem, however, that I sometimes come back to the same, or similar, locations from a different vantage point because there is more yet to learn. So it is with many of us I suspect. We repeat life lessons until we 'get it'. Then we are free to move on to new lessons and also able to see old lessons in new ways.It is my hope then, that if my poetry has any value, it would be that my passage through life might ease the passage of fellow pilgrims. Chris Dewey, 2018.

The history of the Prophet Mohammed, the development of Islam, implementation of Shariah Law, and views of Qur''anic interpretations are all presented along with three separate classical translations of the Holy Qu''ran. Put simply, The Qu''ran is viewed as an unfolding revelation. Thus, the last statement in the Qu''ran regarding a subject supersedes any statement that came before it. This is called ABROGATION.Thus, we list verses in chronological order and examine the list for the last verses written on a subject to see what instructions are to be followed by Islam today. What is revealed answers the great questions facing modern Western civilization. What is Islam? What does the Qu''ran really say? How has Islam become so violent and why is Islamic terrorism flooding the world today?

  • - Our Journey and Finding Happiness
    av Mamta Mishra

There are thousands of books on Autism. Some books advocate new methods of teaching styles. Some talk about alternative medications that have worked miracles. This book does not make such claims. What this book conveys is that every family who has a child with autism has to figure out a coping system that works for their child with autism and for themselves. This is our journey to that place of facilitation and happiness. There are many variables that effect the real life situations of living with autism. Assimilating the research based teaching methods and styles with a great deal of love, compassion, patience, and consistency has paid off for us, and it will also work for you. The fact that our child is processing information, using cognitive and metacognitive processes in his life''s situation, trying to problem solve and use schema or prior knowledge for his own benefit and survival goes beyond the scope of the usual fundamental theories presented today. We have found that properly amalgamating various theories with common sense applications has worked for our child and us. This book is our way of tackling autism, so it is a one of a kind story. You will see the processes described in this book will yield an individual result, which will also work for you, producing your own "one of a kind story."Every family who faces the challenge of taking care of a child with autism goes through emotional trauma. This book is not about that pain but how we have overcome that pain and we have come out stronger. We want the autistic child to develop into a happy person, who is able to function well in his or her surroundings. Beyond simply functioning, we want to discover the child''s natural talents and skills, and possibly develop a vocation. After reading this book, I hope those who come in contact with children with autism or any special needs children may see that everyone has value and potential. This book will guide parents, siblings, and teachers in various ways to assist the autistic child in reaching his or her full potential. In the journey we will find respect and acceptance for the uniqueness within each of us.

  • - The Sir Lancelot C. L. Brenton 1851 Translation
    av C L Brenton
    952,-

The Septuagint (or "LXX" ) is the Greek version of the Old Testament. It is a translation of the Hebrew Old Testament and certain Apocryphal books, which was written in the late 3rd century BC by the order of Ptolemy II Philadelphus, the king of Ptolemaic Egypt (283 BC to 246 BC). Alexander the Great had spread Greek influence and language throughout "the known world" and the Jews of the area were losing their Jewish roots and tongue. This Greek translation was created for use by the Alexandrian Jews who were fluent in Koine Greek, but were no longer fluent in Hebrew. The Septuagint is quoted in the New Testament by the Apostolic Fathers. The influence of the Septuagint on Christianity cannot be denied and should be studied by students of the Bible and religion. This translation of the Septuagint was written by Sir Lancelot C. L. Brenton and published in 1851. It was based on the Codex Vaticanus, one of the oldest surviving manuscripts of the Greek Bible. This version of the Septuagint is used by scholars and students of Scripture, religion, as well and Old and New Testament history.
